Parked Cars Spawning Issue - PS4 - Video

Hey guys, I've noticed an issue in GTA Online on PS4.

 

When driving a vehicle in first person mode parked cars no longer spawn anywhere on the map (with exception of Simeons requested vehicle and other scripted vehicles)

I noticed this since release but it seemed to happen randomly so I ignored it. However I've since discovered it's only whilst in first person in a vehicle that parked cars don't spawn, they do spawn when in third person view and any view on foot. I've recorded this in a video here:

 

 

Has anyone else noticed this? Is it the same on XB1? I'd appreciate if anyone wouldn't mind testing this in thier game to see if it's just my game or a universal issue.

Nope, haven't seen that happen in Online (or Story Mode either).

 

Update: Yes, it does actually if you start from your garage in 1st person and stay in that 'mode' you don't see any parked vehicles.

 

If you go into 3rd person, they start spawning again!

Thanks for testing that out Hercules. Story mode is fine for me too, however in Online changing the camera view acts almost like a switch, turning parked cars on and off regardless of safehouse. For instance, whilst doing that video I didn't enter my safehouse at all.

 

I've raised it with Rockstar support so hopefully it should be fixed in the next patch or too.

Hmm... Random question... Does this remove parked cars that other players "spawned" or do they stay there?

I think players' cars remain because they aren't spawned as npc parked cars, whilst driving around in FP I've seen players' cars parked, usually because they're left in the middle of the road or somewhere stupid haha.

 

Other cars that do appear are armoured trucks, Simeon's special request vehicle (the one with the green icon) and job specific vehicles, so only vehicles that serve some sort of purpose and aren't 'backdrop' vehicles.
