Crew name already taken, but isn't?

Trying to make a crew for the first time and it keeps telling me that the name is already taken. So I do a search and there are no results for that name.

 

Anyone know if this happens a lot or is the search crap or is the crew generator glitchy?

I would guess that the name is used by a crew, but the search still won't show it. Don't know why else it wouldn't be showing. Haven't heard about this before though.
