Nope. I go into passive mode because I'm not a K/D-whoring freemode warrior. I mind my business, and I let other people mind their own. I'm mainly a racer also, so there's that too... Freemode is my pitstop.

If your just passing through free roam on your way to a race why not use Invite only?

Funny that you mentioned Invite-Only, because I've been exclusively using that lately, although not to hide from griefers. I use it because I can pop from race or any job to freemode faster without dealing with a long loading screen. It's usually between a 10-20 second transition, so I'll be sticking with I-O until server kinks get sorted out.

 

Also, my new character is lever 34, so if I do run into you, I'm a free kill. I lost my touch with shooting guns on the XB1

 

My bad though.. I came the wrong foot, very hypocritically also. I admit to have killed passive players on last-gen, although mostly for personal reasons such as the guy being a jet pilot, passive crate snatcher, tank whore, or just testing out a method like the good 'ol chopper blades. Haha

 

 

I always use IO when I'm racing and when I do missions. I do most of my missions in Free Aim (Buzzard) and the Free Aimers love the pvp!

 

I went through a 3 month period last spring where I would go after anyone in passive, and yes death by evisceration was my favorite.. although the hose was fun too

I have developed an method where you can rape players in passive mode. I simply quote myself from an another thread.

 

 

 

I have a new funny method to annoy players so much that they will kick you.

 

Enter passive mode, then find the largest semi-trailer truck in the game (found near the docks with the ships), and a trailer for it (not a fuel trailer). Now find some players and ram them with the semi-trailer, the funny thing is that your trailer which your are dragging with the semi-trailer truck is not transparent, and it can kill players on foot or cause PV to explode if the vehicle get stuck between the semi-trailer truck and the trailer.

 

Players will try to destroy your trailer since it is not invincible, but it is now the funny part begin, this trailer have very low weigh and can easily be pushed very far and quickly with the strongest semi-trailer truck in the game. You will now use the trailer as a "ball" that you crash into and it will blaze into obstacles such as players or their PV.

 

If this trailer gets lost, then just use NPC vehicles as an "ball", and crash into those to make them blaze into players on foot or into their PV. They will get killed if they get hit, but you won't get the kills, so you will never exit the passive mode, and will therefore stay invincible.

 

I did this now, and killed some players and caused few vehicles to explode. They go so angry that they did send me an bad message, but I did continue, and later I got kicked from the session.

 

This glitch was very funny. I think I will do more of this tomorrow and maybe upload a video.

This a two way street I'm guessing. A passive mode can get a truck and trailer and use that trailer against non passive players.

 

Eitherway sounds fun.

 

 

Edit Misread. I should say this could be used by a non passive on passive player. So it's something either type can use to get the other.?

But what if someone drops a helicopter or plane on you? You know, player jumps out, rotor or explosion of the aircraft kills you. Same principle as with a car. In theory it should work and the player that does it should get the kill.

 

I don't feel safe with the new passive mode anymore.

 

Stand on the street - someone can ghost ride you and get the kill.

 

Stand on higher ground - someone can (possibly) ghost fly you and get the kill.

 

Land your aircraft, let someone placing a vehicle or aircraft in your ghost aircraft and let him/her leave the vehicle/aircraft - your aircraft may explode, you die and he/she gets the kill (I've experienced this twice today).

 

A car isn't as fragile as an aircraft. When someone parks "inside" me and leaves the vehicle, nothing explodes. But unfortunately there is that truck with trailer method posted by one guy here in the thread, so you're not even totally safe in your car anymore whilst in passive mode.

Its free mode. You should so whatever you want.

Want to just kill? Go so a deathmatch

Want to race? Do a race

Free mode is a place you and friends can do things either killing randoms or kinding your own.

Ghost mode is much better then last fen aince now me and a friend can cruise and do our business without a try hard squeaker trying to ruin fun.

 

And for those who say use invite only thats not an answer. Sometimes interacting with new people is fun. Griefers be griefing.

 

I do think there should be two lobbys. A free mode like we have now and a chaos lobby were there no passive mode so its like a dayz type survive situation.

I actually rarely use my tank... but when I use it is to punish stupid people who like to grief others... like people who are trying to kill passive players out of the blue. I used the word tank 4 times already because that's my main machine of justice. And no it is not as slow and easy to blow as you make it sound. But one of the reasons I don't like using it a lot is because it gets boring and I find it a lot more fun to have shoot-outs.

And to answer your second question I won't park my tank on a passive player because they are just being harmless, not hurting anyone.

us passive mode users use it when we don't want to be repeatedly killed while we want to enjoy free roam, but we still get run over ir blown up by assholes!!

tonight i was doing a gang attack which was taken over by two players, after the gang attack they kept killing me, even when i went into passive mode then kept running me down in their supercars, i voted for both of them to be kicked and i reported one for griefing.

(yes i'm xbox 360 not next gen).

Anyways, it's for scientific purpose since this thread is about how to kill passive players, so f*ck it if they're innocent or not. In the name of science, in the name of what brought us to the moon and let us build the pyramids, go out there and park your tank on a passive player's ass! Though I could understand if you don't want to contribute anything to "Killpassivology".
