X/R//
What would you like to change in GTA series or in a specific GTA game, and why? I go first; GTA/London/GTA2: Loosen up these games a little bit, and get rid of only 5 lives system. Also try to come up with a better camera angle, if possible. IIIERA: I would like to connect these games better, such as having a GTA SOL like midway in each game, but only saying like "VC that way or SA that way" kind of thing. But ofc, it would be just a midway showing the route to the other cities. We wouldnt have the actual cities. Manhunt 1/2 and Bully also could get better connections to the GTA series. IVERA: The biggest letdown for me was that they separated this universe from IIIERA, while it wasnt even necessary to do so. We get it, they re-imagine the cities, but it was okay, and universe thing is just useless and confusing. Also, thinking about universe sh*t, i would just connect every single game to each other and never mention any kind of universe/dimensions crap. ROCKSTAR MANIC
Yes, definitely the universe system. I would of loved if they had all those CJ, Grove, Tenpenny, etc references. That would surely put a smile to my face. It will definitely make me remember those good ol' times when blasting to Radio Los Santos and making that savanna hop on its 20in spokes a real charm. Aaa... The memories... X/R// and The Dedito Gae
Pedinhuh
I really don't think the games eras are set in different dimensions because in Vinewood's walk of fame you can OG Loc and Madd Dogg names, Willy from Love Fist appears in one sub-mission and Lazlow appears everywhere in V, and then there's Grove St. the Ballas, Vagos, Triads, Aztecas... I like to imagine that LS and LC from both eras were just rebooted, to look more like it's real life counterparts. As for the old protagonist? It's easy to believe they all died really, considering the life they had...

woggleman
I would go to the R offices in 2009 or 2010 and tell them to ignore all the IV haters and just make the game they want to make because people would complain anyway. ManularChimera
Yes, I would also avoid the matter of universes. It does nothing but complicate things and leave disappointed the fans of the series. I honestly never believed that remodeling of the city would be a reason to reset the whole story. If you think about it, it's completely understandable, old hardwares couldn't stand much information. Rockstar could have ignored this problem and simply follow the story as one. Nico
Also, thinking about universe sh*t, i would just connect every single game to each other and never mention any kind of universe/dimensions crap. Making separate universes was something necessary if they wanted to create a completely new rendition of the cities. Being in a new rendition of a city, you can't establish connections with characters -or reuse characters- who lived on the previous rendition of the same city. How do you would explain the massive map change? They had to leave all the previous characters and write new ones as well. Yes, they made references to the 3D protagonists in IV, but they're just that, references. Those messages in the wall can't confirm the existence of any of the protagonists on the new era. I would go to the R offices in 2009 or 2010 and tell them to ignore all the IV haters and just make the game they want to make because people would complain anyway. As much as I love IV, that would be suicidal. Sadly, a lot of people didn't liked IV and it's features, so they necessarily had to make a totally different game to regain all those fans and attract new people to the franchise. Did you ever wonder... ...why we had to run for shelter when the promise of a brave new world unfurled beneath a clear blue sky?

American Viking
First thing I would do is give Claude from GTA III a voice (and a name at that point). He was the personification of a living breathing killing machine with no personality. He followed orders without question. It made for a dull experience. When it comes to San Andreas, I don't remember alot of it but I remember CJ acting like a coward around Catalina. I know CJ was no coward and he acted like that simply out of respect for Cesar Vialpando, but to the uninformed he looks like a chicken sh*t. Had she been anyone else I'm quite certain she'd be sleeping with the fishes right about now. The third thing I'd do is tweak the friendships in GTA 4 so they're not calling Niko every two minutes wanting to hang. I would make it exactly like GTA V where it is an optional thing to hang out with friends, but if you do you can unlock their special abilities/benefits. There would be no penalty for not hanging out with them and you would not lose the unlocked ability. I would tweak the driving mechanics of GTA 4 so that they're a mix between 4's and 5's driving. Neither is perfect and a middle ground is needed. I would allow Niko customizations options. That's about all I'd change about GTA 4. It is the epitome of what a GTA game should be. When it comes to GTA 5, I'd change many things. Firstly, the 3 character thing. I'd either A) make it to where you choose one character at the beginning of the game and play as him and only him for the duration of the story, or B) I'd do the exact same thing they did in GTA 4 where the stories of the three protags interlapped but they did not know each other. I would rewrite the ending of GTA 5 completely. It was rushed and made very little sense. I would get rid of many of the mountains and hills and actually use that space productively. I would make it to where each tattoo shop featured different tattoos and each barbershop was unique as well. I'd give Michael and Trevor equal customization options to Franklin. I'd get rid of the Special Abilities, the gunshot wounds that now appear on the protag, Trevor's Rampages, and I'd tone Trevor way down. He would still be a complete sociopath but he wouldn't dress like a female, eat people, or indulge in necrophilia. I'd also make him a bit racist towards Frank as he should be but is not bc of R* liberal agenda of trying to please the masses. I would also keep Johnny Klebitz alive or at the very least, have him put up more of a fight. I won't lie, when I first saw that scene where Trevor...shall we say...put the boots to him, I was thinking "this guy is a complete badass". Now I look back and see that it was more like he just took advantage of Johnny's messed up condition and he caught him off guard. Sergiu
I'd simply bust in and steal the alpha version of Grand Theft Auto III. Oh boy, I'd give almost anything to get to play the original alpha. Zello, ClaudX and bahraini_carguy

The Dedito Gae
Guys See the first version of Niko Bellic? This is the one we're using. How about we add staten island to Liberty City? Killing Johnny and turn him into a meth head? How about no. Los Angeles has a metal scene you know? Put a metal station. That driving and shooting phisics on V? Let's start all over again guys, the delay on V is huge. This could go on forever... @american alpha You want to claude talks, remove the 3 character sistem in V and make trevor racist? I rather use this Trevor than a toned down Trevor that's racist. Edited December 13, 2014 by Midnight Hitman

ManularChimera
Abort V in its fetal stage. Grand Theft Auto V isn't a bad game in my opinion, However, the transition from a serious and realistic tone to one unserious and arcade makes Grand Theft Auto V not entirely good for some people, the change is too radical. Hopefully the mods in the PC version will fix those problems. Kafonix

There's something you enjoyed about V besides ending A? - Virtual dogs - Semi-realistic steaks - Perspiration reflection Could take or leave most of the rest... and ending A was pretty awful despite roasting Tranny Trev, it brought even less resolve than ending C did. Drunken Cowboy
He was probably on something when he wrote IV. A lot of talented people did drugs while making their best work. I think it's more credible that Houser was on drugs while writing V as opposed to being on drugs while writing IV, TLaD, Red Dead, AND Max Payne 3. vengeancehawk
I agree, the universe thing is pretty useless. Legomanarthur
I would add the GTA V switch to GTA IV with more missions to TLaD & TBoGT (like maybe having the opportunity to see the events before their original story arc, or simply having more missions). Oh, also an awesome optimization for IV. A good story for GTA V. Better protagonists development for GTA V. More missions for GTA V. Different feeling when using different guns/smgs for GTA V. Same with the cars. More bikes (mostly choppers from TLaD, ffs) for GTA V. A well used map for GTA V. Better songs for GTA V. A real GTA feeling for GTA V. (you know that "magic feel" when you play it for the first time) I would also change the story of Saints Row 3/IV because Saints Row 1/2 but well, it's GTA only. Son of Zeus
If there were two different universes why would Madd Dogg and OG Loc be mentioned on Vinewood Walk of Fame? It means they are successful persons in LS 2014. And as someone said above, the Ballas and other gangs are there. Grove St. sports a modern look, which suggests that it has changed from the dirty ghetto in SA. But it is present in both versions of LS. I'm pretty sure that's more than an easter egg. As Cowboy said, it's just an excuse. donnits
