Passive mode + Simeon Vehicle

Passive mode is best for getting the HPV when you're solid because of the lobby change glitch. Then if someone blocks Simeon's garage you can batter them out of the way.

 

The tricky bit last night was not killing pedestrian players and so being kicked out of passive.

So I see a Simeon vehicle being taken by someone (the green icon car) and naturally go after them, but notice that they're in that new transparent passive mode and I can't do sh*t to take that car away from them and they deliver it without any hassle..

 

Is this how it's supposed to be now or was this overlooked by rockstar, because if it's intended, I'm calling huge bullsh*t on this one.

I would only call that trolling when you deliberately destroy the Simeon vehicle and I wanted it for myself so I could get the money.. That's not trolling, that's how it should be with the Simeon car, just like it was on old gen, anyone should be able to take it from anyone..

 

This new passive mode is pure bullsh*t. Just not long ago, some guy gets into passive mode, jumps into a car (somehow he's not transparent) and keeps running me over.. I can't kill him because he and his car are invincible..

i noticed that if you go full speed towards a passive mode player and get out of the vehicle, they get affected by your car (read die).

 

considering they're standing still being like "haha you can't do sh*t to me bitсh".

I think you're mistaken who the d-bag is here, calling people d-bags over a game just make you look 11. No one gives a fk if you sit in passive all day and keep that meesly little HPV we have jobs and can buy Kash kurds, you stay in passive and I'm sure the people you take the HPV from do not care and have a life so who would get mad at a game. Sounds like you've had the other side of the coin, people using passive for less than honorable techniques. When I do passive, I'm not of the "nyah, nyah" and try to kill you while in passive but you can't do sh*t to me. I'm quite the opposite, I want to roam around and can't be buggered with those pesky red dots, tanks, jets or whatnot.

 

That said, it is a loophole as stated upthread. I'm ok with this. I've been divebombed and/or RPG'd by someone off the radar near Simeon's door - which is just an asshat thing to do. No desire to resell it. Just thwart me.

 

I guess it's the prospect of chasing a live target that's thrilling. Perhaps my best solution is do my old school technique when the HPV spawns, hit the lag switch, split the lobby by myself and breeze in.

Or gas pumps... just like they were the best for avoiding insurance costs maybe they don't link player liability and would allow you to blow them up? If a passive mode player is following you lead them through a gas station and boom goes the dynamite.

Uhm, what are you talking about?

 

I'm complaining because you can't take the Simeon car from people anymore (not because you can't destroy it, I don't do that, I just try to take it so I could deliver it myself), because they can just go into passive which protects the car as well.. It should be like it was on old gen, you should be able to take the car from people. I'm fine with people using passive to avoid carnage, but it shouldn't protect you in a HPV, just like you can't put passive on with a bounty..

Well lets mention the asshole who parks his Zentorno in front of the garage door blocking access.

That would be quite an elegant solution to the problem. If a high level is using passive to deliver a HPV, block Simeone's garage with a car and plant a sticky bomb on it then wait for the HPV to arrive. When they get out of the HPV to remove your car, set off the sticky bomb and jump into the HPV yourself.

 

If they exit passive mode to deal with you then it's a fair fight, and if you die then you've got nothing to complain about.
