Option for Clear Visors?

60 members have voted

  1. 1. Do you want the option of switching to a clear visor?

    • Yes, I can't see sh*t at night.

    • No, I like the tinted visors.

Whenever i ride a bike at night, I always skip the helmet because the visor makes it hard to see. It would be nice to have the option to switch to a clear visor or at last flip the visor up like you can in RL. I love riding motorcycles in this game in FP but it's hard to see at night. Anyone else agree with me or am I being picky?

I haven't seen a poll on this subject so I was just curios.

Yeah they should make putting on the helmet more of an option as opposed to waiting at a light and flipping it on.

It's hard as dicks to see anything when having a helmet on during the night, I wholeheartedly agree.

Also, @MonsterCockDude(serisously?) I've been waiting for this option since GTA IV, it's been annoying me beyond belief.

Isn't there an option in the quick menu for it now in SP?

I've heard talk about helmet options in the quick menu but I've found nothing of the sort whether I'm on foot or on a bike.

I'd absolutely love to have clear visors that you can actually see out of.

Wear any sunglasses and even in airplanes and choppers you aint seeing the helmet visor

Not true, I tried this in SP and Franklin still put his helmet on. Not sure about online... I'll try it out.

just tried on chopper and it seems not to work. I think it is sunglasses and helmet, then fall of the bike. It happened twice, but i cant remember how. Sorry, i was really high at the moment. It got something to do with sunglasses, this is sure.

Very simple freaking solution: add the full interaction menu from Online into single player to allow us to fully control helmets.

Honestly it makes no sense for them to keep these things online only. Its like some kind of deliberate watering down of single player interaction to bolster people's interest in online. All for money.

Weird, it just worked online with a bike but not on SP. I just put the glasses on and hopped on a bike and my character never put his helmet on. :cookie: Seems to be glitchy though, the sunglass filter sometimes disappears.

Still wish there was an option to remove the visor filter...

Believe me, it also works in SP, just using the same method. It just doesnt work in planes. Doesnt seems to be a definitive solution to this problem, but more of a glitch. Falling off the bike will sometimes remove your glasses' filter, but keep it on your face. This way he never puts the helmet on.

On the bright side, Trevor always or almost everytime puts on his "coconut" helmet. This doesnt affect vision and helps keeping him safer then when bare headed.

edit: thanks for the cookie sir. Much obliged.

yes i really dont understand why differences like this exist between online and SP. i wish i could "kill myself" in SP also. they must have 2 separate teams where SP team is old f*cks who dont care

This subject doesn't need a f*ckin poll. You might as well ask whether you want a double sized map or the way it is right now.

Well there are 2 people who voted against having clear visors.

Was kind of happy when I got on a bike with Trevor and he put on an oldschool helmet that has no visor.

Because they locked those features, so the interaction menu is pretty much useless outside of putting on masks or sunglasses.

Does the same happens with open face helmets? They don´t have a visor so they shouldn´t have that problem like full face helmets.

It doesn't happen with open face helmets. Only Trevor can use them though, I think.

I like the tinted visor idea but I also like having my video settings so that nighttime is actually dark. With the added shade of a visor, it makes motorbike riding impossible at night.

So I voted 'Yes' but I'd ideally like the option to flip the visor, for visor shading not to apply or for the option to not wear helmets when motorcycling.

Dude the first person driving is a f*cking joke on bikes and in helicopters, the visor makes sh*t impossible to see.

They NEED to bring back the hood cam.

I've whined about it for nearly a month :/ seriously - EMAIL THEM to fix it.

Sigh :(

It's fixable on bikes at least, not very good in helicopters. A lot of people are talking about hood cam on the support site so i think it could come back :)

That's me - running one huge thread about it - can you please please link me to any other new posts you've seen in the last 7 days about it? Cause I need more supporters to email [email protected] to let them know (the ONLY way they accept feedback) >:(

Just play the game as trevor or give your character an open face helmet.

Or why doesn't R* add customising the helmet whilst in LSC? If you can tint windows, why can't you 'untint' a visor?

Just my $0.02..

Seven votes against this? Lol Rockstar fanboys, no doubt. As gtaguy said, why would anyone want to be unable to see at night? Jesus.

The people who voted against it most likely have their brightness set so high they can't tell night from day so it doesn't bother them. As with(I assume) most people on this thread, I like having the brightness way down so night is actually dark and feels like night.
