GTA IV. Nothing can ever top Liberty Rock Radio, The Journey, The Classics, and Vice City FM.

Why isn't Vice City Stories in the poll? It had an incredible soundtrack too and certainly more worthy of inclusion over any of the top down games.

I choose San Andreas because I'm first and foremost, a hip-hop fan. Combine that with the awesome music from other genres that I normally don't listen to and I get a great variety to choose from, whether it be soul/funk (Master Sounds, Bounce) to new jack swing (CSR) or classic rock (K-DST).

My bad. Gonna try fixing that. As much as I love VCS' radios (even more than VC ones) I forgot to add it. Excuse me, I was tired at the time.

@Hitman

Never really listened to the DLC radios carefully since they seemed pretty sh*tty to myself in comparison to IV's but then again, that's my opinion and actually, I think Electro Choc was better in the episodes than in IV. I thought there has to be some difference between TLAD and TBOGT, but hey, it's fixable, gonna try asking a moderator to fix the poll. Thank you for telling me.

It was Grand Theft Auto Vice City and at some part even San Andreas, but with the new improved soundtrack of Grand Theft Auto V it just beats everything, you have tracks like Carry on my Wayward Son from Kansas and loads of classics.

WHAT!?

TBOGT ELECTRO CHOC IS THE WORST STATION EVER ADDED TO A GTA GAME, EVER! #FACT#KIFFLOM

I'd take San Juan sh*t and V's Pop Station over it any day!

In my opinion the best soundtracks are in:

5 GTA 5

4 GTA 4 and EFLC

3 GTA VCS

2 GTA SA

1 GTA VC

At first I thought GTA 5 was your best until I saw the numbers to the left :lol:

To be honest,radio in GTA 5 did improve a little in new gen,but it´s still not as good as radios in older GTA games.

Of course it was fantastic Vice City. San Andreas was also very good, but after this title R* Scored downward trend IMO. I mean, IV's soundtrack was "only" fine, but V's is horrible...

They should embrace in GTA VI :D

I never listened to GTA VC's Radio,I love LRR from EFLC but I don't fell the same with the other radios,San Andreas have the best soundtrack because all radios have good songs

Would've voted VCS if it was there.

VC was good, but VCS is just that little bit better.

Vice City has it down in terms of atmosphere and fitting with the 80's vibe, but I'm going to have to give it to San Andreas, as it simply has more songs that I like listening to.

GTA IV has my favourite radio station, San Andreas has my favourite songs, Vice City had the best overall, but its close

I think Vice City had the best collection of 80s tracks, followed by IV and San Andreas. Both had good electro, rock and jazz stations. San Andreas had a bit more which fit the map well.

I think there is no doubt about this and many of you will probably agree that VC radio Emotion is the best radio station in whole GTA franchise.

It depends on taste as well but like this kind of music or not, those were the greatest hits ever.

To me it`s like that:

1. VC radio Emotion

2. new gen V LSRR (Kenny motherf*ckin` Loggins man :r*: , i just love his songs)

3. EFLC Vice FM

4. VCS V-rock

I love 80s pop-rock but at the same time i love hard rock from 80s and 90s. Not heavy metal but hard rock/glam metal such as Deff Leppard, my No.1 rock band in the world

GTA 3 era has great soundtrack especially Vice city and San Andreas then started to go downhill. IV was okay-ish, same goes to EFLC.

GTA V "Next" Current Gen soundtrack is much more improved from the LAST gen but still away from Vice city soundtrack.

San Andreas. Great mix of classic rock, alternative, country, funk and, of course, gangster rap. Still love listening to Radio X driving around that square of a map. The runner up would be GTA IV with it's episodes.

Went for Liberty City Stories, I simply can't resist the dancehall reggae from K-Jah, the soft pop on Lips 106 and Head Radio (very ironic lyrics in every song that played on the two radios), the amazing d&b used on MSX 98 and not to mention the trance and somewhat clubbish music played on Rise FM. Amazing playlists for each of these stations.

You mixed something up. Rise FM played House/Chicago House mostly, no trance at all. I honestly prefer the LCS version over II one, but for the soundtrack... I'll be unique. My vote goes to GTA2. It had the best soundtrack for me, even though it was very short. A great compilation of electronic music, some classic rock and funk.

GTAVC for me. I'll never forget the good old days of listening to Vrock while cruising in a fast Cheetah in Downtown. Just sublime.

Hipster Vote? :p Just kidding.

The best in my opinion is a fight between VC and SA.

VC has a great mix of every genre of 80's music and I really liked SA's old school rap, classic and alternative rock and House music.

The problem with all these "What's the best" stupid topics is that the question itself is fundamentally flawed and "the best" suggests that there's some sort of measurable way of deciding THE best thing.

Maybe if it's titled "What's your favourite GTA soundtrack?" ..that way it's more realistic and truthful. Unless of course there was a scientific method calculating the best station.

For me, it's San Andreas. I love Vice Cities soundtrack but San Andreas has more. It's got old skool Hip Hop, super Funk station. It's got a good House music station and the best Classic Rock soundtrack.. lets not forget the grunge station and I never thought I'd love Country but the country station is whopper.

I knew a lot of songs in Vice City as with San Andreas but San Andreas introduced me to more styles and variation than Vice City did so San Andreas has to win.

Vice City, because it had the hits of the 80s plus the favorite music genre of mine: Heavy Metal on V-rock.

In order:

Vice City;

VCS;

San Andreas (love the country music)

GTA 1;

LCS;

GTA4 (boring)

GTA 3 (so bad I have to mute it)

GTA Advance

BTW I heard that Steam has removed a whole host of tracks from San Andreas, including Killing in the Name.

Vice City Stories' soundtrack was amazing, have to say. I remember the old consensus was Vice City's and that kinda had the better 80s feel but Vice City Stories' motivated me to play the game more, really.
