nikobellic08
I am having a problem with the night sky texture, there is a light wave effect in the night sky which shimmers and moves when I pan the camera. is there any way to fix this? RedDagger
I believe that's caused by your brightness settings being too high - make sure that when you calibrate the brightness, the Rockstar logo is almost impossible to see, and this should stop it. RedDagger
Is the problem noticeably reduced if you put it to the minimum setting? Edited December 11, 2014 by RedDagger

RedDagger
Hm, if you go to dark areas (e.g. looking at shadows in an alleyway) would you describe the shadow as 'oily'? If so, then you'd need to reduce the brightness more, likely directly through your TV.

RedDagger
Hm, unfortunately I can't think of anything that could fix the problem, although I do have to say that the effect doesn't seem too pronounced - it might just be something in the base game that that isn't noticed that much.
