GTA O is almost dead

Compared to few months back, I'd say its dying because it doesn't feel so alive anymore, there isn't as much players now, and when I enter lobbies its always extremely high level players (even when I'm playing as low level so it can't be the game matching me with same level players) so I'm guessing its the usual gta fans who stayed behind and most of current gen players seem to be from past gen. There's really not much new players nowadays.

 

Now I think "its happening" what's happening? Well I remember a while back a few guys on here where discussing how gta o in a few years time would go back to being played by only true gta fans and the "cod kiddies" will be gone back to the new cod game. Well that might be true but now we got a few that stayed behind and are now "gta kiddies" like it or not. By the way when I say dying, I mean the number of new players is significantly lower than the number of players that are leaving. Also I'm being put in lobbies with familiar names so that could be some proof that the community is growing smaller. What's you guys take on this?

I dont think its dying just getting boring due to lack of new content. I have no problems finding full lobbies.

Lots of friends have moved on to other games but they usually come back when there is an update.

It has gone from 34 million players down to 24 million. Preorder cancelled.

I have to agree with ugotsmoked.

 

Played a couple of quick races last night and the 16 Player lobbies were full and a lot of those players

kept on voting for races, free roam lobbies also seem full with 23-24 players so I don't think this

is anywhere near dying yet.

 

Even PS3 lobby I joined the other day had a full 16 players.

Besides, I don't agree with the OP at all. I'm usually the highest ranked player online, and I'm only just over 160. Most players are clearly new.

I expect an influx of new players in about 14 days, on all platforms. I just have a funny feeling about that day...

I don't think you get what I'm trying to say, you will still get full lobbies, because the community is still big but is not as big as it used to be.

Think about this for a second guys, if these players you say are noobs then how do they have a zentorno and a chrome adder if they are low level? Maybe they aren't noobs at all and just bad in combat/driving but not new to the game. Maybe they are just starting over again because they got bored of being a high level (I've done it). The next time you play online I want you guys to spot a "noob" and then view his/her profile and see the achievements/trophies they have gotten in gta o then call them a noob
