So many people miss out on the Christmas snow anyway because they're busy. I'm also one of those who missed it last year and am curious, was it an online only thing or was it in single player too? Maybe some cool winter exclusive vehicles like skis or snowmobiles too. I know they could only be used for a short time, but it would be awesome to go sledding down Chiliad. What me and my friends did last year was everyone sits in a boat, one guys picks the boat up with the cargo-bob brings it to a slope side of chilliad and drops it, you slide all the way down. Do you think they will let players experience the snow this year in SP as well? I think they should give us the option to turn it on or off anytime we want, and ours to keep (Sort of how the animus hack in AC3 was). I know there's a snow cheat, but it doesn't cover the map or anything. I also never use cheats in this game. I can imagine it now, having a snowball fight minigame with the 3 protags, childish I know but it would still be pretty cool. Hell of a lot better than Yoga at least. The story mode probably isn't meant to be set around Winter or Christmas time so they figure they don't need to put it in or that it would break the story. Being that online has pretty much 0 story, and even if it did have a story it wouldn't mean much since playing online would mean interacting with 1,000s of 10 year olds who go on random killing rampages for no reason they could put in things like snowfall without it breaking cannon or the environment of the game. Only a modded version of the game can provide you complete satisfaction of all levels, and types. Suggestion to try: Invest and play on PC! Rockstar releases an update with all these "snowy" textures, and then releases another with the old textures to revert it. The textures arent hidded in game files, they just come in an update and go in another. That's it. No cheat can trigger it. Anyway the weather cheat enables an snowfall so, give it a try. I think it's kind of stupid that they put all of that work into the map with the snow textures and then only let you use it for a day? Do they realize that a lot of people are busy on Christmas? I kind of agree...I'm visiting my gf's family on Christmas and I won't get to see the Christmas Day stuff. On the other hand - how often does it snow in LA? Signatures are dumb anyway. I asked about it on Rockstar Support a few days ago and a R* employee responded with "Lolz. -1" so you can forget about that ever happening. It's clear R* only really cares about Online now.
