Oh gawd, just checked Nillx tweets, attention whore of note trying to salvage what's left of his leaks community. His forum has been DDOS'ed (apparently).

 

Now let's all take more photos at certain angles and try and prove he was right all along. Now there is this niche group that wants to keep him on this 'pedestal' because after months of waiting for word from R*, someone came out with some pretty good 'leaks' and intrigues the community's interests. At the end of the day, players blame R* for not delivering on what was never even there in the first place.

 

Skimming through the last 10 pages of this thread was a joke on what has all been said. Seriously, I expected more from the GTAF community.

It was a gamble; had heists been released on 12/23, he would have been worshiped like [more of] a god of information [than he was in this thread] and his "community" could have proven to be quite lucrative.

Use some acronyms, throw some coding jargon around and announce features that most of us knew would probably be in the game this Xmas - but 'confirmed' as a leaker doesn't make him credible. That red shaded sky was in the PS3 version last year.

 

I do believe he had gained access to some codes and got information that he probably wasn't supposed to have but now that the community hasn't seen all his leaks come to light - he sits and throws hissy fits on Twitter. Anyone with half a brain would know R* will not release a holiday DLC, a Heist DLC and this supposed CnC features all in one go. Why? Because they will need to create new content instead of making the existing content they already have last over a longer period of time. It's just basic logic as a business...

 

Either way, he is annoyed some people don't like him and with good cause plus he supports domislive and icrazyteddy which is more than enough for me not to like him either. This is just another domislive version on steroids using more channels other than just youtube to spew bullsh*t all over the place. You can sugar coat bullsh*t as much as you like, at the end it's still going to be bullsh*t with sugar on it - our community is running after the sugar while forgetting what's attached to it.

No fine, listen. You can express how much you wan't about the dudes incorrect "leaks". But don't express it in a way where you sound like you're certain he's wrong because that's just dumb - cause you don't know if he his legit or not. I still believe that the main thing which makes him legit in my eyes is not his leaks or statements but rather that he continues to bring forward info and puts up so much time with the community.

I'm sorry, but you seriously have to be him. No way in hell you're going to defend a person like that and not secretly be him. I've seen this type of things before. But I've never seen a person defend a different person in the internet like you are, especially if you don't even know him.

 

As I said, I'm a realist and believe stuff but not expressing it in certainty untill I know for 100%.

Why do we care if he is legit or not? Y'all are making a big deal outta nothin.

I think mainly it's because there's now this war between people who Want To Believe (cue X-Files music), and people who think every leaker and YouTuber out there is inherently full of crap. Both sides have an axe to grind and want to warp facts to fit their agenda. I think it's at least a little important to establish the middle ground, which is: some of these people are legit and some, perhaps many, are not. But you don't need to take it all as bullsh*t just to show how cool/cynical/smart you are. Very many of them, and I think this includes NillxModz most likely, are just excited young men who want cool stuff to be added to the game, like we do, and they overextend themselves interpreting a very small amount of real information. Which would make him kind of a fool, but not a monster to be run out of town with pitchforks and torches.

 

Thing is, at the end of the day, unless said leaker works for R* and has a clear understanding of the code he's looking at, it's all speculation. That's why leakers can't be "legit"; they can't know anything for sure. On top of that, specific dates should probably never come into the equation; I've never seen coding that revealed actual dates. They're legit "informed speculators" at best.

 

 

But they're informed in ways that most of us are not. I'd personally prefer it if those who are "legit" would just leak the code they found, with their speculation included but clearly marked as such. Let us speculate along with them, and also show their work (because experienced modders can tell real code from fake, much of the time).

I'm surprised, and I don't know why, more people haven't thought about R* putting in random codes and stuff blatantly, for "leakers" and "hackers" to find and announce across all social media sites that eventually, big name tabloid websites pick up and run with to get the community of GTAO so excited without R* even lifting a finger. It's free press plain and simple. If they ban people for accessing files and publicizing, you'd think they'd come up with a way to prevent these "leaks" but instead they don't. They give you part of what was in said "leak" and the rest is sometimes never heard of again. The way I see it, and this is just MY opinion, Rockstar will continue doing this as long as it continues to work.

I don't think people can misinterpret the sunset as "northern lights".

 

Can anyone find said thread, if it does exist? I'm looking for it now, but the forum search engine is incredibly buggy.

I've already spent a considerable amount of time searching through my posts the other day for that thread. I recall posting in it but the thread is probably deleted or archived somewhere where I cannot access.

That's what i've been saying. If i were Rockstar and there are legit leakers, I'd take them as advantage. Leakers basically hype up my community, yet the community is still trusting me in the end. So leakers are like free labors. No cost, total freelance dedicated PR, for my own benefit. Lol.

 

Of course, i'd have to prove them wrong sometimes so people wouldn't start thinking i'm using them. It's still win-win condition in the end.

I had a feeling it will be snow tomorrow as well since a day before and after Xmas makes sense but a claim that R* extended it for tomorrow still doesn't make this 'leak' credible.

Have you seen the effect by yourself in the game? Strangely enough, it's exactly like that, the slightest change in angle and position makes it vanish. I'm looking for more videos at the moment.
