He's laughing because the guy was full of sh*t and got made. And when people took off their hype blinders and pointed out that the guy couldn't prove a single, solitary thing he was saying and everything he posted was pure, unadulterated speculation, others got angry and started calling names and demanding that the "haters" and "contrarians" leave the thread.

Thank you. That's ALL a few of us have been saying since the literal first page of this thread. He posted unconfirmed information. He presented it as though it was fact, though. Yeah, he got some of it right. I could post ten unconfirmed guesses based on what I know about the game/franchise/R* etc and some of it will most likely be right. Does that make me a leaker? Or better yet, even remotely credible?

 

I can't for the life of me figure out why some of y'all feel compelled to defend this guy so vehemently. It's like a little fanboy cult...

the snow is a time limited PART of the update. last year it was only present for one day (other than via DNS) while the rest of the content remained available into january. not really that funny.

Okay, here's a list of things he said that have since happened...

• 1 Limited Time Christmas Apartment Interior (This feature applies to next generation only - old generation will get discounts on selected apartments instead)
• Improved anti-cheat methods. Some code for this is included in the DLC, but is not associated with the Heist feature itself.

I *think* this is the list of things that so far haven't panned out as initially suggested. If anyone thinks this needs to be changed in any way then just say so, preferably with a quote from nillx...

• 8 Christmas-themed clothing items (Scarf, t-shirt, suit jacket, pumps and suit trousers)
• 1 Exclusive Cops and Crooks Mission (Part of the Heists and Holiday Season DLC)
• 6 Heist missions in 4 unique locations.
• 5 Cops and Crooks missions in 4 unique locations.
• Three brand new vehicles. The names of these vehicles are still identified by their Dev tag and are not yet finalized but the approximate vehicle class is; Sports Classic and Sports.
• Brand new Apartment - CCTV function with two AI-characters in your apartment running them. This feature is available for current-generation only.
• Two Cops and Crooks-themed masks. These mask items are available in current-generation only.
• 5 new hairstyles - these are still identified by their Dev tag.
• 2 new contact lenses - these are still identified by their Dev tag.
• All players will have the ability to use their Heist planning board in order to select a location, chosen online-Crew members and their role and the length of time before the Heist request expires from their 'Email' app on their phone.

I took out the parts about snow as we know that that's more likely to be enabled for a specific time-frame, so benefit of the doubt says we should wait till Christmas day before deciding on that one.

I've also taken out a lot of the heist information since we can't confirm most of that at the moment.

No , leakers are the guys who look at R* assets/coding and then speculate about future content depending on what they found .

If you can get R* files/scripts and understand coding then we can call you a leaker .

Thats why nillx got some of what he said right .

Still installing the update, but if it is as you guys are describing (Xmas apartment decoration and launcher), my opinion on the guy might change a little. But then again, it's not like those things were completely unpredictable in the first place, especially when the last seasonal DLC (Independence Day) also had houses and a launcher.

Like with the Flight School update leaks - just because the Hydra did not come there (and is coming now anyway) does not mean that the info about Besra, Miljet and Coquette Classic was a lie because those came.

I swear, this is like those Pokemon leaks on /vp/ back in the day which were so uncannily accurate, and yet after release people were still insulting the leakers because a little few things were not accurate.
