Although if there are 4 Heists only as leaked, unless you can perform a number of roles in said Heists, they will become repetitive quickly. Also, people not interested in Heists would otherwise get nothing out of the Update.

 

On a side note, I am sure funmw2 mentioned a few months back R* would be able to add additional Heists without a Title Update being required (as happened with Effin Lazers and Chop Chop). So more Heists could be made available soon after the Update releases (assuming it is actually coming).

Actually we do. We need them to reskin the Zentoro's stats with something that looks like a Vacca, Infernus or a Bullet. That way I'm not forced to drive a f*cking cheese grater or Kleenex box around just to be competitive.

 

They shouldn't cater to tasteless racers anymore. Super cars are getting boring and they all handle/sound the same. If anything we need more sports and they should introduce a new category for sports sedans.

 

You do realize that there are almost 2.5 times as many Sports Cars (22) as there are Super Cars (9), and we might be getting 2 more Sports Cars. If there is one class that doesn't need anymore cars, it's the Sports Class. Not that I have a problem with more Sports Cars, just noting that there are many other classes that are much more under-represented. I feel the possible new update should fix that by putting some of the Sports into the appropriate class (Futo, Blista Compact, and Buffalo).

I still have a really hard time believing that R* would release the game's biggest, most sought-after feature, one YEARS in the making, with a last minute announcement and little to no fanfare.

Agreed. Those cars are so good and so overpowered that they almost feel soulless. They're outstanding machines, but they're not really engaging because they require so little from the driver.

When CnC/Heists drop we will see lobbies split in two. One type for free roam, and one for CnC/Heists.

 

The free roam lobbies:

The same as now where we are given a massive sandbox to use all the impressive features that GTA:O has on offer excluding the new CnC/Heist features. Basically a lobby to go wild in and do whatever you want.

 

CnC/Heist lobbies:

These will be a massively scaled down (in terms of the typical over the top, wildly unrealistic, superhero criminal simulation), focus on more realistic crime simulation, and a tad more story driven. You won’t see 3 jets killing 3 buzzards killing 3 tanks killing 3 peds just because they can. You’ll have to plan your load out according to whatever you are planning and crooks need to stay “off the radar”.

 

The potential is massive for the new update (and of course for the game in general). I have a feeling that R* intends to blow our minds with this one. Perhaps the current free roam is a grand beta project (or whatever you want to call it) and R* will unveil their true ambition for GTA:O in the near future?

Hope they make an anouncement this week or it will just be the same as last year,snow and masks.they could release info a week early for heists,i cant see them coming out without R* making a big fuss and if 23rd is a legit date for dlc then they only have a few days

It just sucks driving cars, especially in first person, in a Turismo, looking at the speedometer only topping out at 120mph full upgraded.

Nothing wrong with Muscle or the classics. You realize that despite the fact that we got more Classics than supers, most people still don't have a Classic? I mean, come on, I raced a Zentorno on a C. Classic and won, people. I mean sure I did the boost thingy with the technical button-pressing, but still.

I believe we'll get heist/holiday trailer/announcement this week actually. That's why they did the update on the newswire on sunday.

R* could be missing out on a substantial amount of revenue (and creating a web of misinformation) by not making a big deal out of something this big and/or catering only to the hardcore fans and passively letting the buzz build.

If Rockstar don't wanna post whats coming in advance on their own site thats their problem. Thery're kind of idiots. But agree with what you're saying about the nerds are the only ones following the leaks. But dont forget the Rockstar facebook page which they basically share the same news from their newswire. And a lot of non-nerds probably follow their page. Most of the comments they get on fb are complaints about heists not being released yet.

If the leaks are true, R* isn't trying to shut them down because now that would be suspicious. Both leaving them by and stopping them compromise them, but at least when they're left by they can be doubted.
