I really don't think anyone could pick a worse date in the 365 days of the year to launch a massive update for GTA Online than the 23rd December. Maybe the 24th & 31st December trump it, that's about it.

 

The game requires looking after in the days following an update, and this would be the biggest ever patch and the first released on 4 platforms at once. That is not something Rockstar is going to lumber themselves with over the christmas period where staff will be expecting time off (and so will the guys at Sony & Microsoft who have to verify patches). There is nothing but downsides for Rockstar if they choose to launch their biggest update ever during this period.

 

There may be a 23rd December patch but it won't be heists. They'd have to be crazy.

 

I hear rockstar staff works in borderline sweat shop conditions. I'm sure at least Bob Cratchit will be working Christmas eve

I ALWAYS hated this car, for the fact that they made it a 4-door (parts car)

You don't do 4-door Lowriders, you part them out. (Unless you in the South)

That is the worst handling car in San Andreas, how could you possibly miss that piece of sh*t?

 

I would personally really love it if they brought back the PMP 600 from IV, it would be the perfect 4-door for contact missions. It could be considered a sports car, so maybe, fingers crossed

There's no real need for Rockstar to hype this up by way of trailer or whatever. Best and cheapest marketing tool is viral. This thread and the news articles/Youtube videos it will spawn are proof of this.

 

Remember that it was less than six weeks before the launch of the NG version that Rockstar provided a release date. Also, given the time since the last substantial update, I'm not at all surprised that this update contains so much content.
