I was kind of surprised to see this in the Top 10 as it is unusual to see foreign films do that well. Hell, it even debuted at #3 last week. But, after seeing the trailer, I understand why. It has a 300 feel to it and looks pretty slick. And this film supposedly has musical numbers like many of the films that come out of India which would make into something like an action film musical. Of course, it is also doing massive business in India - one of the biggest films they've ever had I believe. Even here in San Antonio we have a large Hindu population and, according to a local newspaper article, one of the theaters here has a screen dedicated to Indian films. That same theater has this film on three screens - one for each of the major Hindu dialects and all have English subtitles for non-Hindus. "One day I will think of this as just another job.
