R* needs feedback from fans that always enjoyed their games and not casuals that want GTA to branch into some saints row, CoD, Just Cause type sh*t. GTA, I feel it's so far off the others for me to see it as one, too much of a mix of their recent titles. JC isn't overly popular and it's a better game for over the top brainless slaughter than GTA is to me, Saints Row is fun, because the game laughs at other games, the humor is not that bad and I like the dev, they know their game is not meant to be taken seriously or to be good, it's just for the laughs. I agree about COD being the cancer of the gaming industry, I hate it's guts. For me, to be honest there shouldn't have been GTA Online, I'd prefer a very well made and long lasting singleplayer. It's just the fact that we already HAVE Saints Row and Just Cause, we don't need ANOTHER version of that same game. We need GTA to be GTA. We can go play Saints Row when we want to play Saints Row. This video is really worth a look if you want some insight as to why games constantly trying to ape each other to steal each others audience is a bad thing: That said, I loved GTA V, I think Rockstar did a pretty good job at making it a true GTA game... but we can't expect the same GTA game to be released every year. i know that's what people have come to expect thanks to the Call of Duty series, but that shouldn't be the norm.
