WacoKid614
what can be said that already hasn't been said? GTA V's big appeal for me is the over the top, cinema style storytelling that pushes you along in story mode. in my opinion, i was forced to have to actually stop myself and take my time or risk blowing through the story line like some form of drug addiction. I loved the characters, i loved their flaws. i loved their cutscenes and small ways their personalities shine through the story's backdrop. When stopping to actually consider what the writers were trying to convey, while considering the protags and their motivations, their backgrounds, etc i found on the surface this quick, fast paced plot was actually a lot more rich in form and substance than i first realized. All the little character nuances and dialogue add to the story and rounding out of these three men that imo you don't see in games much these days. (here, i could go into details, but that would make this post ridiculously long). can't forget to share the love to the supporting characters as well. Lamar, Jimmy, the radio DJs....everyone was great. A lot of ppl hate on the supporting cast (i.e. Michael's family) but i actually really liked them and the roles they played. I truly believe Trevor Phillips may be one of my top characters in all video games and not only was he scripted fantastically, Steven Ogg deserves the credit for making this character truly come alive and feel real. All three main VA's did imo. the voice acting in this was top notch and i tip my hat to the casting director on this title. i could list my likes here, but again this would be redundant and exceptionally long, so i will simply say this GTA is my favorite GTA. hands down. Lester-The-Molester
Bumping because I don't want this thread to die. -More Easter eggs like the Mt Chilliad mural or the underwater UFO. -The countryside is full of interesting places like Sandy Shores, the abandoned motel, Raton Canyon etc. -The underwater. -Dressing Michael in his Gray suit and giving him a beard to look like Neil from HEAT. Edit: I would list more things but they have already been said. Edited July 7, 2015 by Lester-The-Molester
American Viking
GTA V will NEVER be better than GTA IV, no matter how much DLC they release for it, but below I will list a few things I think it did better and things I like about it. Bigger, more detailed map that includes mountains and a sandlot...I mean "desert". Animals. Long overdue in the series. More vehicles, including boats and planes. Greatly improved golfing mini-game. More melee weapons. Character customization. Bigger selection of clothes and outfits. It made me appreciate GTA IV more. DaWiesel
Something that probably hasn't been said yet: - pretty much every character looks like it's (voice) actor and the facial animation and detail is a huge improvement over IV IMO, hell I would say that it's a bigger improvement than it was from III to SA.
