7. able to actually speak with random NPCs

9. bicycles
10. tennis better than any of IV's mini games
11. more things to spend money on
12. more interactive internet
13. better TV shows
14. better street races
15. animals
16. decent payouts for robbing stores and security vans
17. more vehicles
18. garages
19. businesses
20. snapmatic
21. much better bike handling
22. NPCs do a lot more things

enough for now.

 

Oh and most importantly, there's no cousin calling me to go bowling every damn five minutes! Couldn't forget about this.

Although IV is my favourite GTA, V is doing some things better. Car customisation is the most important, in my opinion. And there are things that wouldn´t fit in/wouldn´t make much sense in IV, but are going well together with V, like the minigun or planes. Some people say the ocean floor is a waste of space, but I like it. The quick save option is also something I don´t want to miss.

 

And now V has the Benefactor Stirling GT. I always wished for a Mercedes 300 SL like car in a GTA game, I love this car, it´s such a beauty. Yes, the Stirling GT is more like a 300 SLR Uhlenhaut Coupe, but I´m totally fine with that.

with few solid reasons but also With lots of completely biased comments and lots of things that are actually bad but considered good and things that aren't that good at all.

 

anyway here is my reasons

 

 

1-best alive and detailed world in gaming history

2-better npcs in the streets

3-characters behavior doesn't change between gameplay and cutscenes,you can actually describe them.

4-bigger and better diverse map

5-it's true missions are scripted and few are useless,but overall most missions were very fun and memorable,V simply got back to it's roots vc and sa,only iv is the bizarre one.

6-more and better weapons,and better sounds,not annoying sounds

7-aggresive cops,true,but better police chases and they are more challenging than ever (except sa)

8-racing in it is very intense and challenging when playing with freinds,that's why imo v driving is better,and it's not pain in the ass

9-over the top humor,true,but still better than the last one and also memorable (it's an opinion

10-you can speak to other random people in the street like sa but also better

11-mini games like tennis and golf are actually good mini games (not counting yoga)

12-soundtruck was disappointing but also had more standout songs than iv imo,i have like 50 song from gta v only

13-good and decent supporting characters (lester)

14-better graphics

15-better random encounters

16-planes and parashutes

17-animals

18-better bikes handling,screw realistic things,it's very fun

19-more funny characters (lamar-lester)

20-npcs actually do sh*tload of things

21-more cars

22-better crime side missions as you can actually spent your money

 

that's it from now,oh i forgot A gameplay that actually works and fun and engaging to play,i swear sometimes i forget it's a gta game due to it's gameplay.

I don't see anything wrong with preferring GTA V's missions, but I'm not sure how that makes GTA IV "bizarre". It's funny how it's constantly lashed yet it doesn't do all that much different to every GTA made in the last 17 years. Niko kills, engages in car chases, shootouts etc like every protagonist has, but it's bizarre? lol.

 

Maybe I see things differently, but the majority of GTA IV's missions make me think of what a GTA signifies in its purest form. GTA games existed before VC and SA.

 

And this is just personal preference, but I prefer missions with open ended gameplay. There's a reason why there's a GTA IV/EFLC mission alternatives thread in the GTA IV forum and no one's made one for GTA V because there's no point for a couple of them.

 

GTA IV's missions are better to me in this regard. GTA V is heavily fabricated like a corridor shooter such as COD, Battlefield rtc. Then it has unnecessarily long monotonous chores like Did Somebody Say Yoga and Scouting The Port which are memorable for all the wrong reasons.

 

IMO GTA V's missions are nothing special, but each to their own,

1-gta v 2-rdr 3- the witcher 3 (only played for couple of hours,it can be changed)

 

i chose V to be number 1 for the obvious reasons,traffic,lots of people,the environments,the map,the diverse,people talk to you,and also the graphics,with other things too,but it's very likely to the witcher 3 to be over it,once i actually own the witcher 3.

2. Stranger & Freaks missions are better than the random encounters in IV

4. missions can be replayed
5. well... graphics
6. when hanging out with friends, they mention events of the story, rather than having random conversations like in IV
7. more gang members around LS and more dangerous

Cover system, shooting, running and shooting without needing to aim.

 

Bullet wounds aren't red smudges anymore, there's more blood, clothes soak up blood. Fire is a lot better. Things like bruises after you die is good. Little details like that.

 

RPG's can hit things.

 

Vehicle interiors aren't ugly.

 

Forklifts aren't completely pointless.

 

You can turn a vehicle over if you end up on the roof, rather than getting another car to tip it back over.

 

The darts game.

 

The protags don't lean backwards a bit when turning. Turning animations. Animations look smoother and more realistic from walking to facial animations.

 

Changing clothes, it was a bit of a pain in IV, it's more like S.A which is good. Climbing isn't as slow, None of that waving the knife around like a madman anymore either.

 

The airport, you can go inside this one without 3 stars and it's more than an online battleground

 

More camera options.

 

LSC is a lot better than pay n spray.

 

I prefer golf over bowling, the golf reminds me of the old tiger woods games.

 

There's rarely a moment where the city is empty, and turning the camera around a few times or looking behind you makes vehicles appear. On current gen it hasn't happened to me yet.

 

Pedestrians say more things and there's more of them. Animals make things more realistic and less like a place where only adults exist.

 

Variety in everything. Traffic, vehicles, weapons, radio, clothing, missions, side missions.

 

It has some customisation for weapons and vehicles, IV had changing your car or bike colour.

 

The map's bigger and there's some variety to it.

 

Trees, water, weather, the beach.

 

LS sounds alive and is never empty. On consoles IV was empty sometimes and sounded it.

 

You can buy cars, the Internet is slightly more than a thing to read.

 

Cutscenes transitioning to gameplay.

 

The radio suits the tone of the game, in IV it doesn't, not Niko or Johnny anyway.

 

No toll booths.

 

Pedestrains don't shoot up into the air when you run them over, no getting pushed to the side either. They roll over cars in V sometimes. Like humans rather than ragdolls.

 

They're both still quite good.
