San Andreas was so good people had to embrace CJ but even then he got crap even from people who like the game. Franklin gets crap and Luis Lopez get's crap. Why do people act as if they can't relate to the young urban minority characters(CJ, Luis, Franklin), but the 35-45 year old Caucasian guys get all the praise?(Tommy,Toni,Michael, Trevor) hell, even Vic Vance gets crap... I'm not accusing anyone of having any sort of... Uh..."prejudice" but I do ask myself that question... Franklin is the least popular GTA V protagonist, because he is plain, normal and simply not well developed... Michael and Trevor are both unique protagonists to GTA V which we have never seen before...Franklin is the young, up and comer, rags to riches storyline that we have seen before... so again don't play that shyt. But don't be trying to promote that stuff to everyone else and force them to like it, just because you do. Of course that's gonna put many people off a guy like Trevor. I get that that that's how you and your friends behave toward each other, and you can relate to Trevor, but I will safely say most of us on here can't relate to that stuff. I definitely identify more with Franklin as I've been through some incredibly hard times financially and made a serious concerted effort to drag myself out of it - to that end, I see Franklin as the most realistic and identifiable one of the three, by a long chalk. Michael was just some country ass Midwestern washed up highschool football player turned criminal. He doesn't even plan his own jobs, Lester is the mastermind behind it all... After he got caught up with the FIB he went and told on his friends/accomplices and had set them up to be killed or put in prison... So many people in here had this preconceived notion that a black person couldn't a "successful career criminal". They only wanted a black guy if it was a Frank Lucas type character, aka a guy dresses and acts white. The whole urban black subculture made them uncomfortable mostly because a lot of them fantasize about mob figures and had some strange fantasy that Italian mafia operates in LA. Voice acting couldn't have been more on-point with him. Michael is a mixed bag for me with his pros and cons and Franklin is cool, but doesn't have enough depth.
