Michael is just a real peice of sh*t, and I find myself liking him less and less everytime I do the storyline. To me Michael is just another middle aged guy that's having a mid life crisis and personally I don't like that aspect of him and there just wasn't enough of Franklin in the story. I choose Trevor because he has more character than the other 2, he's the funniest, You actually know why he ended up living in a trailer park and for a redneck he sure knows how to be sane when he needs to. Michael is a dead end as a person and has too many ties with family that make him vulnerable. Trevor has many layers in his personality but is a psycho. Franklin's strougle is the only real one in this game and makes all the rights decisions. And he has all his world ahead of him being only 26-27. So to be short Franklin. I also find his special ability the most useful considering the main thing I do is drive. I don't mind Trevor and Michael, but I hardly use them after the story is over. Even though he killed Johnny, who I liked from GTA IV , I think he is the first truly psychotic GTA protagonist who will do simply anything. He is completley unpredictable, like with his random cutscenes when you switch to him. In terms of GTA, he feels more appropriate, he plays a character that is so stereotypical, overweight, middle-aged man with marital issues, family issues, retired; wants to be a big wig in the movie industry - A mid-life crisis at its finest. Franklin is a character that spends his time complaining about everything, never standing strong to any situation, just moaning about it constantly. + His Dialogue is so dull and repetitive. Trevor is great in an insane way; he is something we've never seen in a GTA game before (not to my knowledge anyway), he is full of character, it's just he doesn't have much in terms of back-story; yeah, we get to hear about his childhood, meeting Michelle... but nothing that carves him out. It is clear to tell what his character is, but I would have loved to spend more time getting to know Trevor's past... and his Mom and that appears for one minute. I expected that it would down the line but after having the game for a year, Trevor and Franklin are both my favorite to play in free roam, but Michael is best as far as the story goes, since most of the story revolves around him. I have a hard time playing Michael in free roam though. Usually when I do, I have him doing crimes like robbing stores or attacking armored trucks, since I imagine his boredom would lead to that.
