The impound bit makes sense - I do agree with that. As a bike rider I often die by my own hand when being chased, rather than that of the police, so I don't have that problem for the same reason you suggest. It is a pain in the arse when they impound your vehicle.

Not odd at all. I used to do it when trying to hit soneone with my suicide bullet. Ive attempted it over 100 times, only once did the suicide bullet hit someone else, a friendly who was just climbing a ladder

Just exit online by going to gtav story mode using the character wheel . That's what i do.

When there's no one around I do the same, but somehow suicide seems more appropriate when others are near. Prevents the whole 'zombie' npc/player from running a muck too (as i exit before respawn)

This is the reason I kill myself so much in PVP battles. Fu*king hate the cops on this game. They ruin every epic battle.
