But yes, old gen is still getting support. No brainer, really. The PS3 and the 360 officially die only in 2016. Anyone who does their research knows that.

 

Also, Slim One and PS4, or N-Gen 2.0, also coming out on 2016, cheaper and way better, justl ike slim PS3 vs. day-one buyers.

 

Come on people. 2016. Lots of life left.

I am old enough to know that having the newest things doesn't make you cool or impress anybody above the age of 20. People at my age have jobs and buy their own systems. They don't have their parents buy them for them.

 

PS: My 80GB PS3 Slim cost me $150 + $50 for a 700GB HDD. Smart people wait a year or so for the price of both the games and the system to stabilize. Only idiots pay $600 for a $200 system.

I do believe that R* said that, at the very least, current gen (PS3/XB360) will be getting the "Heist" update at the same time as next gen (PS4/XB1). Beyond that, I'd guess R* will shift everyone over to developing the next GTA title installment ("GTA 6: Vice City" I hope) and updates for PS4/XB1/PC.

As long as Shark Cards are selling on current gen. I'm being serious, I'm not trying to hate on R* (even though I do hate them).... as long as they are making enough of a profit to jusitfy (in their own eyes) supporting current gen, they will.

Rockstar would be mad not to patch and release updates for old gen. The old gen players are the one's they need to keep interested and playing this game so they will buy the new gen version if/when they upgrade and not have drifted off to other titles. In fact thinking about it, imo the millions of old gen players are more important to Rockstar than the players who already moved around the time of the recent launch. They already got their money.

How do you know they're not old gen players that are also waiting for a PC release?

 

 

If they ask and complain about updates for their tractors, im pretty sure they plan to stay with their soon to be broken console.
