[SA|TUT|TOO] Add Really New Vehicles

How many vehicles did you add?...
Did you use the free ID sequence in vehicle.ide, obtained with 'Free ID list generator.cs', starting with 612? ...

 

I've only been trying to add one vehicle, just to try to get it to work. I've tried 612 several times, and I've used 613, 665, 666, and 797.  I've tried this with several different cars, and it's ALWAYS the vehicles.ide that causes the crash.

To safeguard my mental health, we adopt the extreme method:

Copy your GTA-SA and delete:
a) Folders: anim, audio, movies, and text.
b) All *.img file in folder 'model'.
c) gta_sa.exe program.
Now GTA-SA is only 10-15 MB in file zip/rar.
Upload the file zip/rar on a site of host.
Send me the link for download in a private message, 
for the irresistible Automan debug.

Btw, One of the scripts destroyed the gta_sa.set, I had to recreate it! XD

When I say that on gtaSA there must be nothing before installing this series of mods, it is not to break the balls! XD

I solved the freezing issue I mentioned previously, that proves that adding cars is incompatible with car saving cleo. I added few cars but that comes another problem, when I add some cars, sometimes the game won't load and the Fastman Limit Adjuster will report that "Handling.cfg identifier name is assigned to vehicle but can not be found." I am sure that I added the string inside the handling.cfg file and enabled the handling.cfg patch. Changing the car name does not work. And this issue only happens to certain cars.

It's a bit what happens with the Linux OS. Many put their hands in it, but then we no longer know what happens when they met together...

It's the beauty of GTA-SA's eternity through modding! :D

You have assigned a handlingId in the IDE:cars line, but it's not defined in handling.cfg

 I doubt there is a CLEO conflict, just want to confirm that.

Maybe 0x0395FF94: Memory Access Violation when using custom loading screen.
Maybe you're using huge textures in some mod... In gtaSA it's useless to use texture greater than 1024...

Or too many scipts that access the game memory have run the same address to the same location (deadly hug.)

I found out it's CLEO conflict again... this time is the semi truck with trailers one...

Anyway, I see that under Fastman Limit Adjuster 4.3 you can change the limit of the cop cars, firetrucks, taxis, bikes, and other types of cars. Is there a way to add more and actually make them appear in the game?

No, the game handles the specials, we can't interfere from the outside like other things.

I have never added these vehicles, perhaps adding them to the cargrp we find them around like normal vehicles,

and we can only activate the special missions that look like when the player takes one of the game.
