San Andreas Reflections

What's the idea?

Some time ago, being inspired by Birdie_F and M4k3 GTA V vehicle conversions (because of the "SA style reflection"),

I decided to try texturing this way some preferable cars by myself, instead of making requests.

Important note.

Cars, that were released in 2014, were one of my first attempts in SA car-modding and represented the remakes of Automan’s releases.

 

Released models are periodically updated.

Well, this looks nice.

But still, you need to contact Automan to get his permission to edit & upload his vehicles.

NTNLS6, these models downloaded exactly from that site. Already have my own plan list of vehicles, which I would like to rework in the near future.

 

erwinnwijaya_, got to note, that models, which were already retextured, have standart SA number plates. They look custom just on the screenshots, because of my own vehicle.txd.

 

_F_, Thank You, Birdie! As I stated before, your mods gave me inspiration to try my skills in SA-style texturing.
Yes, I clearly realise, that vehicle needs tuning part and IVF.

It's time to bump this topic, because I have some news for You.

Another three new vehicles are being in a "production stage" at this moment.

Two of them are sports cars, that belong to mid-eighties. The other one is a pure seventies classics.

Do you wanna try to guess their brand? :-)

Well, nice try, erwinnwijaya_! Yes indeed, the sport car from mid-eighties is Faction!

Another two car brands are still not guessed. :-) Anyway, thanks for your suppositions!

ABS-IZAYOI, perhaps, another time. :-)

At this moment, these three cars are already adapted to ImVehFt, but still require some cosmetic changes.

Great work.

 

Personally I don't put hi-poly cars into my San Andreas, but I definitely appreciate this mod. So many good models out there just don't 'fit' into the game and stick out like a sore thumb, but you have given the perfect finish to these cars.

 

I especially like the 'chrome' effect (vehicleenvmap128) on the Esperanto's wheels: it takes a lot of experimentation to get this right.

 

In my experience, when I found for some vehicles the vehicleenvmap128 was too strong, I made the following maps:

Feel free to use them if they come in handy for your mod.

nikobellico69, adding IV parts for SA vehicles is a good idea for modification, that will not spoil the original's atmosphere.

I used to try adding IV's interior to SA Intruder, but did away with that idea.

epoxi, Pleasure to read your comment. Agree with the statement about good models that don't fit atmosphere, mainly because of material's settings.

This is one of the reasons I started this project. Also, thank You for these maps.

 

The Dundreary Virgo, which will be a suitable substitute for the Remington. In progress.

Hey man. What program do you use to fix these cars? You are doing some bad mistakes that still prevent me from using your cars and I want to help you fix them.

_F_, I've got 3ds Max 5.1 installed. So I could try to correct mistakes by following your instructions. :-)

But unfortunately, second UV channel mapping (SA reflection texture), that was made in Zmodeler, can not be imported with model to my 3ds Max properly.
