New garage/car storage found!

Recommended Posts

Quicksave is not a good way to check. When you quicksave it saves your last driven car in the same approximate location.

If you want to check, store the car, drive off in another car, f*ck around for awhile elsewhere, and then come back.

Came in here to post exactly this, figured I'd read through the entire thread before posting, got to your post and just have to say /salute, spot on sir.

Guaranteed none of these garages actually save the vehicle as the character owned garages do.

Guys i am not sure also if the vehicles stay there for a long time. I tried this with a quick save and since any times before that i quick saved and was not in a vehicle the vehicle disapeared when i loaded except this times. As i said it works with a quick save, don't know if it works with a regular save. Any help to this would be nice as i am sure a lot of people need extra spaces.

Every time I quick save with the last car driven next to me or near me, the car saves and this is on last gen. I doubt the garage works as a place to save vehicles.

In case you guys don't know this, the last vehicle you've driven will not despawn no matter how far away you go from it, as long as you don't enter another vehicle. You could in theory leave a car down by the docks, run all the way to Mount Chiliad and back, and it will still be there. It's been like this in all GTA games I'm pretty sure, but don't quote me on that.

So if you want to test these garages, park the car in there, get another one, drive away a bit and come back.

Correct. In III, VC, SA, LCS, VCS, you could actually drive TWO Vehicles and leave them in memory. But if you get into a third Vehicle, the first that you were inside will vanish and the second and third will remain and so forth. However, in the HD Era (IV/TLaD/TBoGT, V) you can only use ONE Vehicle and keep it in memory.

Everyone who is doing this with Quicksave is just stupid. Anytime you Quicksave, the last Vehicle you were driving stays in memory, even if you reload the game, it'll be there. You gotta park a Vehicle in these "Garages," get into another Vehicle, drive away to a SAFEHOUSE, Save the game in the SAFEHOUSE, and now reload. Upon reloading, drive to these "Garages" and check. If they are there, it works. If they are gone, it doesn't work.

But I can almost guarantee it does NOT work.

I thought I had read that it was two vehicles in GTA III only, but since you're the resident vehicle collector I think I'll trust you ;)

UPDATE.

Bad news guys, i just tried it with a regular save and the car disapeared. Seems i was wrong and these "garages" are only cosmetical and not functional at any way.

Hello guys since i haven't seen this around i decided to post this.

Apparently there is a single storage garage in Pillbox Hill called Ceasars Auto Parking.

I personally tried it with a vehicle and indeed it saved it. Try it out and let me know if this isn't anthing new or what you guys think about it.

Below are the images of the garage and its location marked on a map with a red dot.

That is absolute bull crap and only works in IV. I played SA last week and left my ZR-350 in a shed whilst I walked into that cabin in Tierro Robada and I was only gone for 10 minutes. I came back and my car was gone.

And this damn sure DOESN'T WORK in V at all. It only works in IV.

Cars do stay for a lot longer now, on current gen anyway. I left one at the bottom of Chiliad, climbed to the top and parachuted down and it was still there, door still open how i left it. At least they don't disappear if you go around the corner anymore lol

These garages are old new but I never knew you could store vehicles in thee. I just used them for getting away from the cops and they worked great. They didn't see me even with the door open once :D. Anyway going to use this for sure.

Almost like GTA 1 and 2 where you had to look for things yourself. Good job OP!

Edit: It doesnt work here either? That sucks.

I remember always seeing my Rhino Tank in the middle of the street in Wichita Gardens back in the GTA III days thanks to this in the exact same condition. Good times... Edited by Cakelover21

I don't know what you did to mess it up but it does work. Just yesterday I tried it by leaving a Comet in a backyard in Vinewood, running down to the Ammunation in Downtown and back and it was still there.

Also I know for a fact that it works with at least one vehicle in GTA III/Vice City/San Andreas as I have tested it there too. And I'm also pretty damn sure it's two vehicles in those games like Militia is claiming as I have often found my previously abandoned cars in the street while driving around.

Yeap, ditto.

I quick saved in the country side with Trevor, when I loaded, my chopper was still there.

OP. Put car in the garage, go to safe house. Save, reload. If car still there then you're golden.

Doesn't work on last gen.

Console limitations, I guess.

Hahah, come on, limitations? Bullsh*t.

Now, we know that's BS...

Old-gen GTA V = Beta GTA V.

I'm just glad Rockstar's screwing someone else for a change.

It's not f*cking beta. It's just a retail GTA V with lowered details. FPS mode could be done on last gen too.

Tried it man doesn't work. I was suprised at first when it worked with a quicksave but unfortunetly doesnt work with regular saves.

I did it all of the time in IV, just parking my car on the side of the road and roaming around the whole neighborhood and then coming back to my car untouched.

I tried that in V several times. One time I parked my Carbonizzare on the side of the road near Weston's mansion and went over the fence to explore it. I came back 10 minutes later and it was gone. Another time I parked my Coquette on the side of an avenue in Los Santos and took 5 steps away from it. When I looked back, it was gone. This just happened again with a Furore GT two days ago. Since then, I never leave my cars unattended in V and just use loaner cars to explore inbas opposed to my own.
