Pauloso 266 Posted February 16, 2016 Update: I rewrote the iOS DFF code such that I got mdl->dff conversion for free. This functionality was moved to the stories converter and is *no* longer part of convdff.exe So this program converts PS2 chks, mdls and iOS txds, dffs: http://aap.papnet.eu/gta/bin/storiesconv.exe All other dff conversion is still handled by convdff.exe How I can open Stories Gta3.img? The Hero 6,940 Posted February 16, 2016 The mobile img files can be opened by any img tool. The PSP and PS2 files are missing dir files, but sergeanur was able to reconstruct them: http://gtaforums.com/topic/838537-lcsvcs-dir-files/

El Dorado 3,632 Posted February 24, 2016 I need a batch to extract each texture on a folder with the same name as the txd ex. admiral folder -admiral.tga banhsee folder -banshee.tga and etc help, anyone?
Sam Lake 11,861 Posted February 24, 2016 Very helpful tools Here's a batch code for txdex. It creates folders for every txd and then it puts all the textures extracted from each txd in those folders: for %i in (*.txd*) do txdex %i & if /i not "%~nxi"=="%~nx0" md "%~ni" 2>nul & move "*.tga*" "%~ni" >nul

guard3 2,352 Posted March 25, 2016 I have problems converting xbox textures to pc. I decompress textures, but when I use txdconv.exe, textures are messed up!
ArTuRMV 70 Posted May 20, 2016 (edited) Ahn, there is a possibility to do the opposite way? PC to PS2? I'm looking for some program or plugin but I never found. Exist a lot of PS2 mod with custom model but I never found tools and tutorials about that. For example: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PuYKAb9TH-o Edited May 21, 2016 by ArTuRMV
guard3 2,352 Posted May 21, 2016 The tool already does that. Just specify your version to the output and there you have it
The Hero 6,940 Posted May 21, 2016 Right, note however that I haven't really tested it. In theory you don't even need special PS2 or Xbox dffs.
ArTuRMV 70 Posted May 21, 2016 (edited) So... I tried just put a PC's dff in PS2 but doesn't work. I think the dff need some conversion but I have no idea how can I do this. But if this program can do this, how can I do this conversion? o3o And there is only the 3.6.0.3 version for SA. This is what happen. The Hero 6,940 Posted May 22, 2016 Were you able to build a working iso without changing any files? Also, what file did you replace?
ArTuRMV 70 Posted May 22, 2016 (edited) I replaced the original SMG's model using the PC version putting in the PS2 version. I know how to create a ISO, I did some texture mods using the TxdGen. Example: Walter White T-Shirt Adaptation of beta textures Miku's wall New spray Also the map with textures from GTA SA mobile version Nissan Skyline tunning style Edited May 22, 2016 by ArTuRMV
Markuza 87 Posted May 22, 2016 You are out of luck then. I remember doing the same thing year ago. Textures are working fine but models are just not working. I asked the same question year ago but still no answer. If I remember correctly, PC models only worked for me in Vice City. I still haven't tested III. (But I did recreate the ISO, it was less than 1 GB compared to original 4.37 GB.) I used $ony CDDVDGEN.

Dageron RUS 129 Posted May 23, 2016 Much interested in PS2 models conversion too. As far I remember, player.img models are semi-equal between PC and PS2, so player model mods exist on PS2. The Hero, please, could you look through PS2 models? Completing PS2 *.dff support will be much appreciated for RewnderWare convertsion toolset.

I was reading the gtamodding.com and I saw a page speaking about exclusive lines in DFF's ps2 version, maybe can be this. Dageron RUS 129 Posted May 24, 2016 Yeah, I also tested VC DFF models in PS2, VC and III worked for me fine But SA not, as we already mentioned above. Hope that The Hero will help us... Sloth- 49 Posted May 25, 2016 (edited) I'm trying to convert files extracted from LCS Android version but dff's not working. I'm using this on console: storiesconv.exe input.dff output.dffThis is how it looks on Map Editor (fine as you can see, the texture conversion is ok): And this is how looks ingame (collision works but dff is invisible): Is there something i'm doing wrong? Do i must specify the version in the command? I also tried to convert the dff through 3DS Max Kam's script and Deniska script but it was the same. EDIT: i tested the conversion for Vice City and it works fine! And i also did the conversion to SA's format through: storiesconv -v 36003 origin.dff dest.dffBut still got invisible dff on SA. Please help! Edited May 26, 2016 by Sloth-
guard3 2,352 Posted May 27, 2016 Maybe txds? Try using magic.txd and mass convert to SA version. In Vice City, at least, no txd = no model
