Cleaning Cars.

Recommended Posts

stef538

Hey guys, for my mod I need to have some dirt on the car and then clean it. it all goes perfect except one thing.

the timer does not start.

here's the code :

newtimer = new GTA.Timer();

newtimer.Interval = 500;
newtimer.Tick += new EventHandler(CurrentVehicle_Tick);
newtimer.Start();
also tried this, but is also not working
newtimer = new GTA.Timer(500, true);
newtimer.Tick += new EventHandler(CurrentVehicle_Tick);
Do you have any idea how to fix this ?

If you can't get that to work, then just use

public MyScript(){   Interval = 500;   Tick += MyTick;}

I tried it with displaying a string (Game.DisplayText("test", 2000);)

ok test this... not sure what your code looks like but it is literally as simple as u see below

namespace TimerTest{    using System;    using GTA;     public class Main : Script    {        public Main()        {            new GTA.Timer(500, true).Tick += MainTick;        }         private void MainTick(object sender, EventArgs e)        {            Game.DisplayText("test", 2000);        }    }}

the code in your opening post is fine. The problem is in the code you did not paste and that is why I am asking :)

well, the code I didn't post was the

Game.DisplayText("test", 2000);

It was just a test to see if the timer ran.

the thing is i think the flow of your code is doing something you are not expecting... pretty much i wanted to see the code that compiles... the code in your post doesn't make sense as i cant tell what context you are using it in. Im thinking you are just making a simple mistake that is so simple it is hard to see... if that makes sense ;)
