babakula
I'm having severe problems with the game graphics on my PS4. Some objects like electric poles, grass and power lines look awful at medium to far distance. If you walk up close, these look fine. I'm adding a picture where the lampposts are suffering from these strange graphical issues, where some kind of strange lines are visible. Setup: TV: Sony KDL-52W5500 (resolution 1920 x 1080) Receiver: Yamaha RX-V465 (1080p compatible) PS4 (tried both Automatic and 1080p output) Unknown type of HDMI cable Anyone seen something similar? Any ideas? Edited December 2, 2014 by babakula Link to comment https://gtaforums.com/topic/752229-weird-ps4-graphics-whats-wrong/ Share on other sites
TenEightyOne
Go into your TV settings and make sure that all post-processing (especially AA) is off. On XB1 I sometimes notice a similar effect on far-off scenery objects but this example looks a lot closer. John The Grudge
Try turning down the sharpness on your TV. Sharpness can cause the effect in your picture. On some TVs it should be at zero but just gradually turn it down until you're happy. That's what I think is causing this. YourGirlHasABigNose.
I don't think it is a problem with your TV set up. I have my sharpness at around 65 and it looks beautiful and crisp. However, I think it may just be a simple game setting adjustment. In FPV, do you have your field of view set low? because your picture seems very swollen. I have Field of view set to high. If you are not sure where to change this, go into the controller settings and look for on foot Field of view. Or maybe it is the motion blur effects? I'm really not sure, but I've never heard of or seen this problem before.
