The point isn't about F's ability, I said that this only exaggerates the problem. Can you tell me: why, in one of the few race modes there are offline, we need to use non-modified cars to have a competitive race? Why there would be a race event held with only standard cars entered? why the prize car from each race can absolutely destroy the competition in the following round of races? and why all of that's a good thing?

 

Your guess about me complaining if they matched the cars is wrong and a) shows that you have nothing constructive to say in defence of the current system, and b ) that you think I'm complaining for the hell of it. I've been called a fanboy by some, and a moaner by others. Why do you people only see black or white?

Well, that is maybe because of how people always find something to complain about.

 

My personal experience is that, if you choose your car according to the race context, they are not "easy as hell", they can be really tricky, but you have an OP that says that it was easy so he used Franklin's special ability to get over with them and that because of that they are a complete joke.

 

Why can't cars adapt to whatever you're driving?, well, i'll render prizes stupid, not to mention that the prizes are the "boss" of each race, it'd have required alot more work to make skins for each and every car in the game just to adapt to what ever car you may be driving, not to mention that it's , quite stupid to have stock car races filled with Adders, Zentornos and such not to mention that that'll open the posibility of winning a Super car just withint the first hour of the game.

So, there is actually a reason behind that decision. Just like there's a reason behind the posibility for using whatever car you want on the races, if you weren't allowed, we'll have way more people complaining about how the game sucks.

 

Bottom line is, you can play them in any way you want, and complaining about them being too easy it's stupid, because you have the choice of making them extremely easy, or extremely hard. Is just like complaining about how other cars seem to be made out of plastic when you hit them with your maxed out Dukes O'Death... which is quite fun by the way...

 

Complaining about the lack of different circuits, that's a completely different matter, you don't have a choice there, and they were kind of cheap on that subject, IMHO.

I'm not necessarily talking about using adders etc, just more powerful cpu cars to match even the lightest modded player vehicles. They seem to be all stock apart from the prize car, which seems odd even for an 'open entry' race. It wouldn't be too hard to use powerful vehicles in the races, plenty of npcs have customized cars in freeroam, so the possibility is definitely there. It wouldn't even matter to me that the prize was a car that wasn't involved in the race, so there'd be no need for the custom paintjobs to a huge number of vehicles, and that would open up performance matching in the races.

 

Fundamentally though, it's not about having liveried 'racecars' to compete against and win, just some sort of challenge, because what we have has the potential to be a really great minigame, but because of the track and difficulty, it feels a little bit like an afterthought at the moment. Whether the challenge comes by ai boosts for the cpu or simply more powerful cars doesn't really matter as long as there is a sense of achievement given to winning. Because whichever way you look at it, the standard cars are easy to beat. At the moment it feels like you're racing the prize car through slow moving traffic.

 

I said it before, but would the 'it's as hard as you want to make it' attitude apply if it was missions we were talking about?

 

Personally, I think the best setup would be to choose a class at the beginning of a 4 race series, race across 4 different tracks where you need to finish 1st on the overall leaderboard to win the burgershot. The next time round would be exactly the same except the prize, and the difficulty would be increased across the board as you progress through the 'championships'. Of course that requires a bit of coding, and there are many ways of approaching it, that's just one idea.

We all agree that the more content you have the better, but don't you forget it, this is supposed to be a returning player feature, it cannot be bigger than the original races, since it is just a plus, not a main part of the game, but rather a secondary. I think it serves its purpose quite well, of course, and this is completely out of discussion, the more the better, but you can't have it all, can you?
