The Stock Car races are a complete joke!

If they were too hard people moan even more. You get some nice looking cars for it, they were what i wanted more than a gran turismo style race through LS.

Edit: It is very easy though.

It's a simple race and nowhere was it advertised as anything else. Another case of overactive imagination, rampant fanboyism and a dash of the good old stupidity.

Just f*ck off.

The races were v easy, I even managed to win one in a stock Rebel with Trevor.

The cars are great though especially the Stallion. I just wish we could've got a Liveried Sabre or Vigero as I much prefer classic muscle.

Kind of off topic, but are the liveried cars faster than their normal counterparts or is it an other case of placebo strikes again?

Using Franklin's ability, i have so far lapped the whole field twice in every one of those races. Rockstar could have added a very exciting new side to racing if they'd added the Stock Cars to Online racing and as an option in the content creator. The way it is now, one and the same track against hopelessly incapable NPCs, there's really no added value except for owning the cars after winning. Another good idea terribly implemented, especially since there wasn't the slightest effort to clarify that Stock Cars were Single Player only. But then that was the case for most of the new stuff.

Have you tried racing like a man?

ZOMG! So edgy! have you tried using your brain for more than to prevent your head from sounding hollow?

No argument that races in SP are way too easy, but since they are so easy, why are you using Franklin's ability?

i gave the explanation for that 2 posts above your post.

Coming from the guy that complains about something being to easy while using special abilities, do i need to finish the sentence?

What car did you use? I had a hard time keeping up with the burger shot car in my modded Picador, in the first race.

for the first one i used a stock Vigero, then the Stallion for the rest.

basic reading comprehension would have cleared that up for you in the post i referred you to. i used Franklin because i wanted to get it over with so i could own the cars, because doing 25 laps on the same basic round course isn't enjoyable either way.

He also compared Rockstar to North Korea. Anyone wants to get taken seriously then you can't say stupid garbage like that. People don't take exageraters seriously.

Oh, i read that, still makes you look stupid complaining about how easy is something that you use special abilities to beat.

ok, one last try, as simple as possible: it wasn't too easy because i used Franklin's ability, i used Franklin's ability because it was too easy and boring in the first place for me to want to spend anymore time on it than absolutely necessary to obtain the cars.

Now relax your sphincter, you might pop a vein if you keep on puckering up that hard.

IV races are the worst races in the series by far. Would have been a better idea to remove NPC competition and do it timed races. You could win them with a Boxville easily. V's races are more enjoyable but still not really competitive IMO, well, GTA races were never competitive anyway so I don't bother much tbh.

What people don't seem to get is that the players aren't responsible for making the game difficult but it's Rockstar. It is just that Rockstar took the complaints about GTA IV and exaggerated the "fixes", so it is a completely different game from what it used to be.

I wanted to race against the Marshall to win it. Instead I had to race the Buffalo and his buddies again. No match for the Duke'O'Death.

I was actually kinda expecting to be going up against all Marshals when I saw it sitting there. Now THAT would be fun!

I was eagerly looking forward to go back again racing, as well as expected to see some good improvements to the difficulties in V, just like the outstanding races seen in GTA SA. If anything, it proved to be a disappointment. The single-player races on the last gen are terribly easy, and boring. So, I'm not surprised by yet another weak addition to the count on the next gen.

I'm compelled to launch the classic GTA SA races each time as they are much more interesting, and require more efforts to beat the best times of the players, but that is what makes it so much fun.

I agree though that the races in the hi def era arent really challenging. I wish they had the difficulty level of san andreas races or vice city when you had to race hillary. They are fun though. When i first played v's races it was challenging becaause it was the first gta ive played on a modern gen system( ps3) . I didn't quite know the layout of the road and i would crash into poles and die from getting ejected from my car. Also i wasn't use to the controls for driving because i never played midnight club before. Winning that first race gave me a sense of achievement. The airport race threw me off at first because i missed a turn . The highway was a challenge especially if you had the wrong car. The motorcycle race was kind of tricky too .Ive been playing gtav so long though i could do a race in my sleep . The driving has become second nature to me.

It's pretty fun entering the race with the Duke O' Death and going the wrong way smashing head on into everyone trying to disable their cars. All the opponents apparently have armour as they take a lot of damage.

Fun fact: You can also complete the races by going the wrong way, as the checkpoints activate when you go through them no matter which way you're going and there's nothing that tells you you're going the wrong way or that resets you like in actual racing games. It takes a really long time but it is possible, and there's pretty much no chance of actually winning that way.

Yeah the single player in GTA games are really lacking, especially since the AI seems to have very little awareness and crashes all over the place usually and they still cannot keep up.

Basically if you try to race against them be prepared that they will hit into your car or collide with an object or crash into each other.

If you just hold back and go slow for a bit you can just watch them crash into each other, ride one's slip stream and go by all of them and not really have to worry about them catching up.

I'm guessing it's to hard to program good AI for raaces in this game, when they have a lot of other stuff to work with.

Unfortunately playing online races isn't much better anyway, since you usually have to play with some idiot 10 year old who can't keep up with the other cars who tries to crash into others to spin them out and ruin the race.

I also used Franklin's special after the second race, once I realized that the track layout doesn't change and it didn't seem to be getting any harder.

Here's a funny little thing that happened during one of the attempts. Yes I know I should have just reversed and drove around, but I wasn't really worried about it, so I just kept trying to ram my way through the mess.
