The Stock Car races are a complete joke!

Recommended Posts

Using Franklin's ability, i have so far lapped the whole field twice in every one of those races. Rockstar could have added a very exciting new side to racing if they'd added the Stock Cars to Online racing and as an option in the content creator. The way it is now, one and the same track against hopelessly incapable NPCs, there's really no added value except for owning the cars after winning. Another good idea terribly implemented, especially since there wasn't the slightest effort to clarify that Stock Cars were Single Player only. But then that was the case for most of the new stuff.

They were way easy. Did mine with Trevor. More of a nod to the old games than anything.

Here comes the b*tch and moan!

you know, bitching and moaning about perceived bitching and moaning is as widespread here as it is ridiculous. it also makes your penis fall off. please crawl back under the rock you climbed out from, thank you.

They could as well don't add add stock car races, they may be too easy for you but at least they added them, if they didn't add it you would complain that there's nothing to do in the new version? I'm tired of seeing people always complaining and never seeing positive in the game. Acting like GTA V was the worst game ever, sh*ttier than Big rigs, Dr. Jekyll and Mr . Hyde, Virtua Hydlide, etc.

Don't people always complain that online always gets everything? Now SP gets something exclusive. If you want something hard try the stunt plane trials.

The only thing that really dissapointed me about them was the one reused, tiny track that every race took place on. I was expecting it to at least have 3 or more different tracks.

OP has a fair point. Races in GTA V really do suck.

The only time I ever lose is when I accidentally crash the Blazer or Sanchez on the dirt tracks.

Other than that, it's way too easy to win every time.

To make it a challenge, I actually give the NPC's a decent head start. Shouldn't have to do that, but they're really sh*t.

I was really looking forward to the stock car races when I get my NG console, but not so much now.

The game should use your average race time to automatically adjust the NPC's skill. It can't be that hard to program, can it?

This also disappointed me.

Also when I checked out the new objects in the Creator I was pleasantly surprised to find the starting gate, tire walls, etc that is used in the stock car races. They left out the most important thing though. The rumble strips. They are what really make a race track seem like a race track.

  • Playing a race that involves driving
  • Playing as the character who specializes in driving with a special ability that allows maneuvers otherwise hard or impossible
  • Complains about race being a joke.

Alright then.

There will never be another tough race against NPC's in single player. In Vice City there was a mission called The Driver, where you raced against a guy named Hilary King. He had a badass Saber Turbo, Tommy had a mediocre Sentenial, and you had the cops chasing you too. That mission/race was tough, and required practice, at least for myself. No more of those types of races, R* has made everything easier for the masses. GTA4's and EFLC races were easy too. I miss the difficulty from the 3D era.

I started to read, and got this far.

Anything is f*cking easy with that ability. Shut the f*ck up.

Quit complaining SP actually got some content after over a f*king year and your n ot happy, that online didn't get the Stock cars, I mean Online only got every feature us SP have wanted from the start like creator,Car Insurance,Trackers, garages, custom RGB crew colors, clothes, masks, selling cars at LSC and even more missions. If you want a challenge race the stock car races in a car without upgrades and without Franklins special then see if the races are that easy. good day sir

The first time I did that race with Franklin.... was on Ps3, I forgot about his ability and almost lost the darn thing.. now that was "hard", I guess the difficulty is subjective, I don't mind it being "easy", I'd rather have that than "impossible"

What did you expect, though?

Do races, get cars... something else? Crazy logic. It's not like they're going to script in a bunch of track girls to strip for you when you win, or send you a f*cking certificate in the real world.

WHAT MORE DO YOU WANT?

These 4 qoutes right here. Quit bitching about the stupidest things and use the character with the lowest driving skill if you want a challange. Or better yet don't use a fast car. Use a Manana. Edited by Cakelover21

In thought the stock car races could only be accessed with Trevor?

The thing I don't like about the street races at least in GTA V is you always know who your competition is. Sports/supercars. Even though the races in GTA IV weren't that hard I liked that they were varied.

Sometimes you could run up against muscle cars, other times SUVs, sports cars, sedans etc and mixures of different vehicle classes in the same race. My personal favourite races were using bikes against sports/supercars.

I still think GTA III has the hardest races in the series though.

I drove the first race with Trevor in a stock Vigero, which wasn't much more of a challenge than doing it with Franklin. once i realized we'd just be doing the same round course over and over, i just wanted to get it done quick to get the cars. By added value i meant that the races themselves should have been it, through challenging and creative courses. i'm not gonna drag a sh*tty thing out longer just for an artificial challenge.

Whoever at this point is still defending Rockstar's content policy, after all the false advertising, conscious deception of customers, and a support/contact/communication policy that makes the North Korean government look like a paragon of accessibility, is either a hopeless fanboy, a Rockstar-stock owner, or simply the most gullible person since the doctor who entered Michael Jackson as the father on the birth certificate of "his" children.

ZOMG! So edgy! have you tried using your brain for more than to prevent your head from sounding hollow?

No argument that races in SP are way too easy, but since they are so easy, why are you using Franklin's ability?

i gave the explanation for that 2 posts above your post.
