I guess nobody know what's the actual situation ... we're not even sure it's not Xbox exclusive. R* never officially stated anything about it, so anything (or most likely nothing) can happen ... But trust me, you don't miss anything if you're on PS3, I'd even say it's the opposite ! I'm a huge San Andreas fanboy, and my hearth bled when I played that "stuff". But to me, even if it's just a port, I'd still buy it. Besides, it's really cheap on Xbox 360, around $4. If it ever comes to PS3, hopefully it's around $4 as well. Sept17th2013 Posted November 29, 2014 Share Posted November 29, 2014 (edited) Fun fact, I bought it for PS3 exactly 3 months ago today, without knowing that would be one of the last chances ever to get it. It was on sale at 4€, normally it was 15€, so I got it instantly. But seriously though, the whole world is been for years begging for an HD remake, and finally when they do it, it turns out to be: 1) A shitty port from MOBILE (!) devices 2) Only on X360 3) Not even properly announced. ...but at least they had the decency of selling it cheap. I hope they're taking this long because of what @vengeancehawk said, and not because it will never happen. If they do release it for PS3 and it's cheap, I'll be the first in line, hoping I can preserve both original and HD versions in my PS3. The original creators should be very disappointed in the current state of this great game. The thing that made me angry is that the Steam version has gotten even worse, besides all the broken saves and the pulled songs they didn't update the textures to the "remastered" version or even added archievements. Look at how they have botched the 360 and PC STEAM versions. I also have the feeling that Rockstar is not really involved in the upgrade, that it is some third party company trying to 'fix' it since it is based on the Mobile Device not the Original Game. Rockstar either could not or would not renew the Licenses to some of the music in the classic game, therefore they had to remove the game from the market. Nordicdusk Posted March 15, 2015 Share Posted March 15, 2015 The new version of San Andreas is a bit of a mess on 360. Im playing through it at the moment. The radio stations are all over the place songs will start a few seconds later they end or restart in the middle of a song. I understand about the rights to certain songs but the ones that are left its like they are cut.Tonight alone four or five cut scenes the characters voices just cut out but the background noise and music plays out as normal. Was gutted when I grabbed Bully, III, VC, LCS and VCS in the sale and I couldn't buy SA to complete the collection. I've still got it on PS2... but no PS2 to play it on.
