Are R* the best company out there?

Recommended Posts

Yea Naughty Dog is the Top Dog, best company at the moment. Rockstar is better than most other companies, and because of their great games they release, that is what keeps them at their spot. Their integrity and honesty have dropped the ball a little bit.

So, apparently Raiden hates Rockstar and GTA V so much now but he still plays GTA V regularly and hasn't even played a Rockstar game before that, typical bandwagoner.

How do you know this for certain? I suppose fair point with GTA V, but you can't make the conclusion he's never played other R* games just looking at his PSN I.D. Many people own multiple consoles and/or game on PC aswell. Who says he isn't one of them and just hasn't provided those details?

Anyway as for R* even though I've been a fan of their games for over 16 years I would say their the best developer. In fact I wouldn't call any of them the "best" as they all have their pros and cons. R*'s no different.

They haven't been the best on online but they're a whole lot better than Activision, Ubisoft and especially EA. Rockstar didn't do youtube strikes on youtubers posting money glitches. They also haven't done any season passes (not yet). Also some or a lot might disagree with me on this but GTA 5 wasn't overhyped as Destiny and Watch_Doge.

Best company? No

Best non indie developer? Quite easily if you ask me (REMEMBER THIS IS AN OPINION), the only other (non indie) devs I can see that are close is 2K Games. It just shows you that Take-Two knows what they're doing. I suppose I'd put Codemasters up there as well but that's about it.

He stated in his first post that he only has a PSN account. Maybe he games on PC but that still does not explain the fact how he can prefer RDR to V when he hasn't played RDR and seems to be playing V regularly.

R* is better than almost all the game developers out there. Ubisoft = utter crap now. So there is no need for comparing R* with Ubisoft. Better find a developer which is as good as R*.

Okay, when GTA IV was released for PC it was a pain in the ass, but come on, it was their first open-world game to be running on RAGE. Then you've got RDR, which looks awesome, R* managed to remove that 'dull' feel of GTA IV into something colourful with RDR. Unfortunately it wasn't released for PC. :( Then we've got MP3, another awesome game, awesomely optimized on PC and then GTA V, I was quite impressed to see how well the game performed on old get and then we've got it's PC person which...*place reserved for GTAV PC*

They're a great company in terms of keeping their consumers happy (despite V single player being complete crap and rushed) .

But from the reviews I've looked at, their employees really don't enjoy working there, especially compared to other developer reviews. Apparently there are lot's of deadlines which are unreasonable for employees.

I'm sure they have to wrestle with Sam Houser for a promotion

Want that promotion come and get it!

Quite like Rockstar and Bioware myself.

I'm a huge Bioware fan but they overcharge like crazy for average DLC and their multiplayer model is basically play to win. That's EA's doing rather than theirs though.

I'd probably go with 2K.
