HeroBrineR007
Have you rebuilt the gta3.img?
Gramps
Is it set to read-only? Either the GTA SA installation folder(s) or the gta3.img file itself. Other than that, I would suggest trying Mod Loader. Pretty simple to use, just drag n drop mods into the ModLoader folder. No need to touch the IMG file anymore for users installing mods. Reyks
Just tested editing my Gta3.img (don't worry I am and always will use Modloader was just curious), and it turns out editing gta3.img really isn't causing any effect in-game. The thing is I kinda need to edit gta3.img right now because of this annoying bug, any ideas on why the heck editing this file doesn't do anything? TJGM
You sure you're rebuilding the IMG after replacing whatever you replaced? Oh, and have you checked to make sure you haven't got another gta3.img inside Mod Loader? I doubt it's the reason, but you never know. EDIT: Also if you're using IMG Managed, try Acli's IMG Editor instead. Surely it'll work that way. Edited November 30, 2014 by TJGM
ZAZ
I assume, it's because of UAC of win7 or vista, that protects modification of program files, inside the default install dir at C:\Program Files or C:\Programme You can disable UAC but i recommand to install the game at another path like C:\Games\GTA SA But consider also the advice of the other members: newer game version is unmoddable and needs downgrading, remove the read-only property of the whole game dir, rebuilt the gta3.img or use modloader CLEO MODS CLEO Script Tutorial
Reyks
I tried both IMG Manager and Alci's IMG Editor rebuilding the img, the game directory is not in program files and the file isn't read-only, game version is 1.0. My game just refuses to install anything using the old sh*tty way, for some reason it only recognizes ModLoader. EDIT: Nevermind the whole folder was set to read-only for whatever reason, it's working fine now. Edited November 30, 2014 by StrafeBolt
