Passive mode is bugged or something?

So I was just in a game with a bunch of jerks, so I activated the passive mode and what do you know - I could still run people over and they could shoot my car. Was just going to respray a car in pay n spray and deliver it to simeon when two a-holes just decided to tail me and shoot out my tires as I tried to get to the mod shop. WTF man I thought you were supposed to turn into a ghost with passive mode?? It's funny but people playing this game are so f*cked in the head that GTA online is better when playing alone or in a private session.

You only turn into a ghost in passive mode on current gen, not last gen.

Same happened to me, but the bullets didn't do any damage, neither to the car or me

Yah I've had that happen, 3 dickbags tried to kill me in my vacca. Lit the sh*t out of my car and my face but no damage. But I could run them over!

Yeah, it seems pretty glitched. Sometimes people are ghosts and sometimes their in unarmed god mode. Sometimes their icon shows as passive sometimes not. It's completely random currently.

 

Here's what I found works when they're not "ghosts" so far:

- Blowing up a car next to theirs

- Popping their tires

- Boxing them in

- Running them over when you force them out of their car

 

Seriously, people abuse the sh*t out of the new passive mode, it's supposed to be a way to get away from griefers, not god mode car/creepy stalker mode.

I love then passive mode fails, and people doesn't become those invincible ghosts.

 

At least you have a fair chance running them down.

Same thing happened to me - I played GTA on my ps3 after months and I could get shot in passive mode. Put me off from playing

Tonight was my first play wih passive on, and I noticed I couldn't be killed,but I could kill them,I assumed that I was not ghosted out as everyone was constantly trying to shoot me, and I let them lol, but I accidentally run one over in my car and he died, so its deffo fkd up

I stopped using it after that

Its just a glitch when you change lobbies with it on. Soon as you re activate it in the new lobby you will be ghosted again.
