Bro,

 

theres no way to make radar with those tools, its for san andreas and it asks IPL that we dont have in GTA IV, am gonna check again

 

The only thing i can do is to export Radar DDS file but no way to import it in the right place on 3ds max :( you need coordinates like IPL or WPL but i dont find these...

 

I know theres people who did it but never explain how...

There is not a lot of documentation for GTAIV, BUT, the radar in SA has the same amount of tiles (12x12, 144 in total). So you just need to change the names to work in GTAIV.

its not Nice, i recreated villages with existing models from GTA IV, GTA V, driver 3 mw3 and Grid 2 and modified mixed all

 

One is called NINE SUR MER loool and the other... SAINT SEREAU (=pronounced SAINTS ROW), its a name game but only french can understand lol

 

It use to have another village but still crashing cause its around 315mo, i will not release this last one

 

ANd for your config, i hope you can use the high version with lot of props... but you may have some buildings or lands without textures, it takes memory and time to load ;)

 

As i said thers two versions, one for high PC and the other for low pc like me :(

 

the only difference is props... you will have less

 

Am still testing until now...

 

So is there Nice in the map or just small villages ?

 

Hope it will run smooth on my computer, I have intel 2500K , GTX 560 , 4GB RAM and... a car pack lol

I cant, am working alone bro, to make like LC i need more than six months workin 8h/day 7days/7, things that take time is to place props and crash game lol, you always have to check by twice

 

In fact this map i began last year but when came GTA V i had to stop and play in LOS SANTOS, and to be honest with you guys, i dont know what to mod for los santos cause you have mountains, sand island...

 

the size its like the straight long road part of my route 66 i mean al the south of liberty city water

 

from one part (top of village) to the other (the small forest) with low traffic you need around 11mn

 

 

What about map size? It's bigger than Liberty City?

You have my uttermost respect for what you are trying to put together here.
I can very much relate to your opinion regarding the conversion of models from other games and the essence of modding itself. I'm glad that the rules are being revised. It's all about the vision and the effort!

Just looking at the title of this topic and before I knew anything else about it, I was actually going to propose making use of Driv3r models. Great to know that we will be seeing those too!

This is definitely something. The map felt so large. Can't wait to play it. But one concern. Does it go around in a circle where there are multiple routes to take or is it one route? I got the impression that the developed areas had multiple routes, but the country was one route.

 

But there is one thing I think needs changing about ICEnhancer which would work for this map. He needs to make the nights not so light polluted. Then, he can use the timecyc modifiers to make light pollution. That way you can have light polluted populated areas, and non light polluted country areas.

I don't know if its my french blood or because I spend 'lot of time in Old Quebec City, but I feel strangely at home when I see that map

As you can see on Carry's video its large enough for this kind of map, as always i wanted to hide liberty city with huge and impressive mountains, it permits you to feel like in a DLC, i mean GTA world but not in USA and when you want to come back to liberty city, you just have to take the x3 highway to go back home

 

Am working on peds and i need alexandrotorresblade cause my file doesnt work

 

SO just wait one hour or two hours to the the map online,

I had to test something : i found that with some enb, the map suffer

 

so i erased my current version of GTA IV and install the original with a low ENB, its cool, no glitches no bugs

 

but i still have some models without collision i dont know why :(

This is a really well done map mod. I hope you plan on continuing it. My only recommendation would be to expand the village a bit more.

3ds max with GIMS and OPEN IV for GTA MODELS IMPORT EXPORT

Cityscape 1.8 for roads, landscape and mountains

Acropora for mountains also

3d ripper for models

paintNET for textures

 

you need free time and to be patient or you will never manage to do something, the best is to have a team like Russians on Criminal Russia MapMod ;)

 

Wow! This is amazing work! It really fits into GTA IV rather well.

have the same sample file but with my nav_mesh, i can see difference, when i hit ped he runs on my path, it is not the case for you cause theres no ped path, but my problem i cant seem them walkin without shootin or hittin them

I have one crash that i cant and i dont know how to resolve it, its about cops : when you hit them the game crash :(

I'm really not sure but I think there is a problem with the paths. Maybe the cops are unable to find the right node - but it's a shot in the dark.

You can use 'Police Ignore Player' (SNT) to avoid a crash.

as i said in the read_me file, dont hit cops or kill peds, dont have accident, it crashes the game bro,

 

Am tryin to fix this as i can, just disable traffic or cops btw ;)
