LTS Creator Winners Announced: Did I miss something?

When did this actually happen? I have been checking the Newswire for the last two months, and I swear I never saw a mention of the LTS creator contest results. Were they ever officially announced?

 

The reason I ask is that I stumbled upon this today - all competitions and winners seem to be listed here: http://socialclub.rockstargames.com/events/contests

Can anyone confirm if this was officially announced? I've looked back through the Newswire to see if that's the case but I can't see anything, just the LTS Snapmatic winners. Also, I can't see any Rockstar Verified LTS missions when looking for jobs on Social Club on any platform. I thought my #LTS map was doing quite well but obviously it didn't make the cut. It would have been nice to know before spending so much time since the start of October trying to host a non-verified map on a broken matchmaking system to a community who just seem to want to play Super races crammed full of stupid jumps and $$$$$$$ + XP missions.

 

Oh well.

To be honest, with the release of next gen and upcoming heist hype, I'm not surprised that the verification of created content has taken a temporary break on the news wire.

Me neither... and that is a good reason, to be perfectly honest, though obviously the LTS Creator competition is already over. There was a huge gap between the Flight School competition and results too... it just feels to me from a community member's point of view that these competitions are largely forgotten about, even if they actually aren't and decisions and announcements are made and planned for release on a predetermined timeline at R*.

 

It does make a difference on my decision to participate in community related events however and if I feel that way, others probably do too. Everyone I talk to who plays GTAO have already said they've pretty much given up with creating content because they're sick of trying to pimp their content to no avail.

Don't hold your breath, R* will probably verify some maps that have nothing to do with the LTS competition a month or two before they're announced. You can't really blame the devs though, the amount of LTSes made for the weekend competition were down-right staggering, about a 351 LTSes were made for the competition alone, so R* would have to go through 351 LTSes and pick the cream of the crop. The NG versions of GTA V also bring in new issues with verification, and R* is still trying to fix/tidy some servers.

 

 

Also, OP, thanks for sending me into a false sense of excitement, I thought R* verified the LTSes today and this was a topic about it!
