I guess he means not to hold down the trigger all the time but tapping it again it again because of the spreading of the weapons.

I guess he means not to hold down the trigger down all the time but tapping it again it again because of the spreading of the weapons.

That's what I figured, but I thought that perhaps this was a new feature in next-gen.

Higher levels have slightly more health

I'm level 298 and I often have people pop me with just a split second of being fired on

Lag, its plagues all online gaming situations where split seconds matter.

i'm only guessing but some could be using a lag switch. :(

I made a similar post about 7-8 months ago frustratingly asking how in the world players get so good at sniping.

The answer is time. Time = experience. Experience = mastery.

7-8 months ago I couldn't snipe for sh*t......and now I can pop people like crazy.

It boils down to putting the time in. Here's an extra challenge to the original poster.....if you want to be truly elite, put the time in to be able to be an elite fighter WITHOUT the stupid roly poly jackass moves. Nothing looks stupider than a character rolling around like a spaz.

In my country we have a saying, "Soldier that flees is useful for another war".

Yes, but don't forget:

Use more effective weapons for every situation (e.g. AP Pistol instead of Micro SMG in vehicles and in close encounters) and go for the headshots (flick right analog stick upwards). If you're a passenger in a vehicle, you can still auto aim on subjects with left trigger and fire with the right. Utilize the minimap a lot, use the expand map option, and learn to judge distance on it. Learn to throw stickies forward rather than backward when chased and detonate them at the right time (again, use the minimap). Utilize cover and dodge/roll. Most of it takes practice, especially sniping. As for why people are so good, well, the game has been out for over a year. People talk about 'skill', but reaction time/reflexes are only a part of it. Bottom line is, practice practice practice.

What gorskie said, doesn't need repeating.

Also, if a certain method of fighting works better for you, then try to force enemy players to fight on your terms, not theirs.

For example, if they seem like rushers then set traps, find a good position. If they tend to hide and use cover a lot, then use grenades or even the occasional mugger to draw them out. A tactic I often use is a poorly thrown grenade or two to put them into a false sense of security, then follow up one that hits right on target.

As for snipers, if they're close enough, try using an explosive to shake their scope view around so that you can change position.

out of car into car headshots happen alot while driving.

long distance sniper shots are usualy deadly, if not than he misses and u wont even notice he was there.

i believe that each gun has its peak at a certain range (considering accuracy, frequenzy and damage), so just holding down the button will give u slightly different downtimes at different distances. not to mention the different weapontypes (assault shotgun on short distance)

also its worth aiming up for the head, which probably is the main reason why u get a kill faster, cause u hit the head.

and of course like in every MP Shooter: shoot earlier as possible! (yes i wrote earlier than possible, cause when u see him it might be to late)

and than there is the level difference and the LAG.

Pretty much all of this, rank and skill differences also effect accuracy and damage. With the increased draw distance snipers can literally shoot for miles, day one I tested it out in free roam on top of the green bridge facing the airport and was sniping from quite far away.

Once you unlock the heavy sniper it's a 100% headshot kill, and against rank 50 and below is chest a kill as well.

Never use a car in a deathmatch in assisted aim. The stealth skill actually helps immensely, too increase it quickly join coveted or a survival and shoot while in stealth mode.

Weapons and effective range is always something to take into consideration, i'll take a pistol over a shot gun anytime, using the right weapon for the situation takes time too master.

You know when you're just sandboxing it, and no matter what you do or where you are people pop you off with seemingly a type of ease you can't even wrap your mind around. It's just baffling.

And I swear it seems like their shots are more effective than mine. Do bullets get stronger as you level up or something? I've held automatic fire toward a players head for like 4-5 entire seconds before they die, and for them it's like I just drive around a corner and one shot and I'm dead? How the hell?

And how the hell do you get killed by one clean shot when you are driving at top speed and the enemy is no where in sight? Like, sniped from miles away! While your driving at top speed! From the side! One shot! How do they do that?!

Once a player shot me backwards from his car, but it was just so quick and clean and effective I swear it must have been auto-targeting... but that's not possible while driving a car, right?

And yesterday I was having fun repeatedly trying to infiltrate and attack a guy lurking out in the ground floor of a parking complex. And I tried and tried and kept coming at him for like a whole hour. He was loving it, it was all fun, I thought so too... but I'm just baffled by how impossible it was to get any one single kill on him. he got dozens on me. I tried to sneak from any side, be tactical, strategic, snipe from a distance, throw grenades in, come at him aggressively with a car... any which way you can think of, I tried. Nothing. There's just a level of skill with a lot of these players which is unreal at some point.

I'm wondering if there are more perks from leveling up than I'm aware of. Are there? Inflicting more damage? Longer life bar? Better accuracy? What perks are there from levelling up anyway?

I'm level 26.

Sometimes its lag. I think im pretty good at killing and staying alive but every once in a while, I also get owned and its like Madden, if you play enough, you will learn the little things that make a difference. Deathmatch veterans are always a challenge to kill in Free Mode.

So just like IRL, you may be a bad mo'fo, but there is always someone who is badder.

Most of the techniques and tricks people learn are from playing a lot and getting a good feel of the dynamics of the game.

What applies in GTA doesn't apply in CoD, though. The reflexes, however, do. Understanding timing and knowing what to expect provide keen advantages.

For example, while you and I are squaring off behind walls, poking out to shoot one another, it's about the better armor and hit points.

Yet, in an open area, you may be shooting me in the chest, but if I point my machine gun at you and gently swipe my aim up while I shoot, BAM – headshot wins.

There are days when I own an entire lobby and have everybody chatting about me being a cheater. Then, there's other days where the lobby simply owns me. Rank schmank.

It's part of the allure and the fun... and yeah, even the frustration of this particular game.

Make some friends, if not already. They make the experience even better!

As of now. I still have no friends.

I'm a loner. A rebel.

I made myself better by establishing what I felt was my comfort zone and gradually stepping outside of that zone each time I played.

Go for the face. Also change locations never stay i n the same spot for too long or you will be killed. If they are hiding in cover and you have stickies, use them toss it where they are and detonate.

So you want to learn the mastery of utter kick-ass, eh?

If I tell you, I'll have to kill you.

But here's a few tips...

-If there's a cluster f*ck of people near an area with tall buildings: STAY LOW;STAY ALERT

-If a guy is chasing you, whether it be with a friend or not, act quick: USE STICKY BOMBS

-If a guy is chasing you in a buzzard: GET A SPEED ADVANTAGE, AND GET OUT YOUR CAR IF YOU'RE IN ONE, AND SNIPE THE TAIL ROTOR IF FAR, OR USE A MINIGUN IF CLOSE

If I find myself getting owned by a better player, I keep going, never quit, try to work out the weakness and study their technique.

The best way to improve is by playing those better than yourself

Op, expect a lot of wannabe good players in this thread. Much like a money scam in real life, they all say they're good.

I am, I challenge fools in 1v1. Just add me gnad1992 with the "1v1" message. I kill fools for fun. All the time.

That's the only thing you'll see before death:

Lol im ok, you don't seem worthy tbh. You have to prove yourself

We all know what that means, and it's not him that has to prove himself now.

now now, lets not be foolish now shall we? I killed you in a lobby already. Remember. ..?

Headshots, the only way to get kills in this game. Especially those botshots, when you are lucky enough to have your reticle on their head right as you aim... ah man that feels good.
