How do players get so god damn good?!

You know when you're just sandboxing it, and no matter what you do or where you are people pop you off with seemingly a type of ease you can't even wrap your mind around. It's just baffling.
And I swear it seems like their shots are more effective than mine. Do bullets get stronger as you level up or something? I've held automatic fire toward a players head for like 4-5 entire seconds before they die, and for them it's like I just drive around a corner and one shot and I'm dead? How the hell?
And how the hell do you get killed by one clean shot when you are driving at top speed and the enemy is no where in sight? Like, sniped from miles away! While your driving at top speed! From the side! One shot! How do they do that?!
Once a player shot me backwards from his car, but it was just so quick and clean and effective I swear it must have been auto-targeting... but that's not possible while driving a car, right?

And yesterday I was having fun repeatedly trying to infiltrate and attack a guy lurking out in the ground floor of a parking complex. And I tried and tried and kept coming at him for like a whole hour. He was loving it, it was all fun, I thought so too... but I'm just baffled by how impossible it was to get any one single kill on him. he got dozens on me. I tried to sneak from any side, be tactical, strategic, snipe from a distance, throw grenades in, come at him aggressively with a car... any which way you can think of, I tried. Nothing. There's just a level of skill with a lot of these players which is unreal at some point.

I'm wondering if there are more perks from leveling up than I'm aware of. Are there? Inflicting more damage? Longer life bar? Better accuracy? What perks are there from levelling up anyway?
I'm level 26.

Higher levels have slightly more health

I'm level 298 and I often have people pop me with just a split second of being fired on

Lag, its plagues all online gaming situations where split seconds matter.

Every 10 Levels, you get 10% more health until lv 100.

The heavy sniper is a 9/10 1 shot kill.

I've gotten tons of kills driving and looking in reverse. Just takes a lot of practice and getting used to whatever aim sensitivity settings you are using

It's connection man...lag etc...

Try running direct LAN cable to your console, you will notice a hell of a difference in rendering and hopefully your K/D.

out of car into car headshots happen alot while driving.

long distance sniper shots are usualy deadly, if not than he misses and u wont even notice he was there.

i believe that each gun has its peak at a certain range (considering accuracy, frequenzy and damage), so just holding down the button will give u slightly different downtimes at different distances. not to mention the different weapontypes (assault shotgun on short distance)

also its worth aiming up for the head, which probably is the main reason why u get a kill faster, cause u hit the head.

and of course like in every MP Shooter: shoot earlier as possible! (yes i wrote earlier than possible, cause when u see him it might be to late)

and than there is the level difference and the LAG.

Simple answer - play a lot. You just get better.

And LOL...

And yesterday I was having fun repeatedly trying to infiltrate and attack a guy lurking out in the ground floor of a parking complex.

Actually, in seriousness just play a lot of survivals on your own. It's a good way to practice against decent enemies and not have to shell out on weapons, ammo and armour.

Offradar-god mode-LAG

I blame atleast 25% of my deaths by players on lag. And Ive played long enough to know the difference.

Like when your in cover behind a wall and you stick your head out for a second then get killed after your back behind the wall. Happenes all the time. To you it seems you are safely back in cover, yet to them you are still sticking your head out.

Dude, you're level 26:
Your heath bar is smaller as other's health, and you haven't gained access to better weapons, try leveling up until level 70 so you will stand a chance against the others.

Here are some useful tips:
-Spam combat rolling, literally, it takes you out of the enemies lock on aim for a second, giving enough time to counter attack;
-Always shoot for the head,if you're using a automatic weapon then use burst fire instead sprayin' and prayin';
-Always keep your body armor on, also keep some extra body aromor in your inventory;
-Also alwaays keep some snacks in your inventory, eat them while driving, in cover, aiming so you instantly regenerate health;
-Go to any clothes store and get a team outifit, the outfit is not relevant but the ballistic helmet can save you from getting instantly killed by a head shot.

A lot of good answers and tips guys, thanks. Map Awareness was what I started to practice more on just now, double tapping down and seeing where people are at a broader level. Also that Spam Combat Rolling thing was just completely new to me. I see people get away with doing that all the time... well it's just new to me and I'm still trying to get a hang of it. I'm going to have to get that Heavy Sniper... seems that the most successfull killers are the ones using that one the most, not to forget being good at it. And Practice as always. Lol... I do believe people without a life have a lot of advantage as well... haha :D

This thread is gonna need to keep rolling. It's good for newcomers to get some advice. This is good stuff. Pedinhuh, those were really good tips!

Also learn to cut your losses and give up

It's better to do that then to keep trying to go after revenge kills and dying every single time.

OP get ready to hear everyone flex their e-peens about how they spawn kill anyone that looks at them funny.

I know what you're talking about though- some people are ridiculously good. I very rarely get owned though. Not because I'm great but I'm very sneaky. I'm good at using off radar, muggers, and even dirtier tactics to beat players that are better than me.

I then high tail it to my apartment when I'm ahead on kills and get off over the hate messages. Also I put a couple of stickies on my drive for when they chase me, I can detonate it from my apartment. I have yet to kill someone but have come very close! My timing was perfect but the b*tch lagged.

OP try to learn from every death you encounter. What you done wrong/what the other guy did well/both. Free roam is all about situations and making the right decisions. It's a lot more skill than people give credit to on here. It comes down to experience.

Having said that- that doesn't apply while your rank is so low if you're fighting against a 120+. You will simply get owned because of their weapon arsenal. Also I don't think you even have off radar available at your rank for a couple of easy kills.

For now-

- Find the perfect aiming sensitivity for you, and practise. Do survivals only going for headshots...

- combat roll. Very useful even in free aim. Try to be the last to roll if your opponent uses it too.

- play play play. It all comes to to experience in situations and knowing the map so you can utilise locations to your advantage. E.g. If there is a battle At the airport- go into the parking lot to snipe. But use the third of fourth floor which has a view out. People will be expecting you to be on the roof so you'll be able to drop them before they even spot you.

This. Btw if you can't kill them even with these tips then thy must be lagging or using a god mode glitch. Practise this on NPC's first or get a friend to help. Play a lot of survivals and you should get the hang of it. Also if you are in Free Aim. STAY THE AWAY FROM COVER! Cover is a horrible idea in free aim if you are fighting a high level or experienced player.
