Should Player blips always be visible?

    • Yes, I like it the way it is.
    • No, not at all.
    • Only if the other players allow you to see their location.
    • Limited Radar, Shooting, Running or Driving, anyone that makes noise in the vicinity of the player.

Break the blip system into two halves; Far (Beyond ~1000 meters), and Near (within ~1000 meters).

 

 

Far: When a player crashes a car, fires an unsilenced weapon, causes an explosion, flys in an aircraft etc, their "far" player blip appears on the map, randomly within a 500 meter radius of where they actually are, and remains, stationary, in that location for ~4 minutes. This way, players elswhere will have some idea of where they are, but won't know exactly.

 

Near: When a player crashes a vehicle or drives at high speed sounds their horn, flys at low altitude, fires an unsilenced weapon, causes an explosion, runs, etc, their "near" player blip appears to those nearby, and tracks their postion for ~30 seconds.

 

 

PS, DaCosta's idea would be a fantastic addition.
