What inspires you when creating a character?

Hello, I keep on switching characters cause I dont really feel connected to them...

The question is, what inspires you when creating a GTAO character?

Do you build them as a replica of yourself +-? Or thinking about some cool figure from a movie?

 

My english is not so well so I can't really express my self, hope youll get me, thanks!

^ this. And for me, I want to have a unique character built with a backstory. If not that, then someone with a distinct personality. I'd rather play using my imagination than playing like every #MLG420BlazeItYoloSwagPogoMaskDudebro out there..

I generally just try to look good. I can make myself but I tend to make what I think I would look like in that world you know?

Me, I write down the persona's background info and use that to visualize what he or she looks like. I have it down for any game that allows me to have a custom character.

From GTA IV onwards I've only used the one guy. I just tried to make him look as nerdy as possible. I was annoyed that there weren't any proper glasses, only sunglasses, since V.

On old gen he was the father when I was creating my character. I tried to make my character look like him or maybe even Jack but he ended up looking like one of thoses skinny guys in Sandy shore.

I created my temporarily character on Xbox One based on this generic blond female we have here in Norway. Many girls like to color their hair blond, ans use a lot of makeup, wear tights and other tight clothes. Well I tried to recreate this. See spoiler tag.

 

 

 

 

I have used Asian female on Xbox 360, and she was based on a "slutty" Asian girl in my class on high school. She flirted with almost all and did wear always tight clothes with décolletage.

 

 

 

And I used to drive trough the city from some friends, and there was always one of these young black Nigerian prostitutes who did wave and stared at me. I do remember one incident, where one of prostitutes did push the other prostitute into a shop windows and did massage her breast after me and 2 other friends had left the cinema. Then they did laugh when they failed to recruit us as a customer. Later she was used as template for my Skyrim character.

 

 

 

 

So it could be anything that makes an impression:)
