mancorn
Hey guys, I recently realized i had no off roading vehicles and am in the market to purchase them. What cars are best for driving around in the desert, I have the Chevel Marshall monster truck, is that viable? Any advice?
GG14876
Some traditional Off-Road vehicles are: Sandking XL, Dubsta 6x6, Bifta and Sultan (but that's a sports...). From what I can tell, most people use the Sandking and Dubsta for climbing mountains/rocks and fording rivers (Sandking has highest clearance I think), the Bifta for races (fast little thing, and so much safer than a bike) and Sultan for (almost) everything but it's in Sports class... hesselgren
what he said. and the bodhi is ok if your not rockclimbing too much. sandking is the best then obviously cuz of clearence. the kalahari is ok to, takes you up really tight trails
sSphInXx
Tbh, I find truly being 'off road' means being in the air. Jet or Buzzard gets my vote. Edited November 26, 2014 by sSphInXx
EW200
I do a fair amount of off-roading, just messing around, as far as vehicles go, I've had them all. For the most realistic all around offroading I like the Sandking XL the best. For rock crawling I like the Dubsta 6X6 or the Liberator. For ramming around in the desert and slopes I like the dune buggy. For dirt track racing or rally sport, it's the Sultan all the way.

Liquid7
Dune Buggy for racing. Sandking or 6x6 for rock climbing.

Spacedog08
The best thing about the Marshall is it only cost $200 when it gets destroyed. The Sandking is the best offroad truck. With stock suspension & bumpers it's a good rock crawler.

GTA_dog
I bought the Dubsta once I reached rank 100 and I ended up selling it because I really don't like how it handles. It's easy to lose control compared to a BF Injection or a Mesa. I hate my goddamn Merryweather Mesa,,, GTAOMark

What cars are best for driving around in the desert, I have the Chevel Marshall monster truck, is that viable? Any advice? If you want to use your off road vehicle in races to, buy the BF Bifta. It's my only off road vehicle and it's fully upgraded. Almost every time I'm in an off road race, I finish on top. When it's fully customised, it's (in my opinion) the best off road vehicle for racing. When you learn how to handle it, it's a true beast.
Ph03nixxxx
If you want to have fun driving around the desert/hills/mountains with ANY vehicle, pick the Sanchez (dirtbike). It can climb near about anything, is hella fun and climbs rocks better than any Sandking ever could. However, if you're looking for a vehicle with four wheels the Sandking is the best all-rounder. In real life that truck would fall apart. Nothing more then a mud truck. And its the biggest red flag when going to an off-road meet when you're online that says "hey guys, I dont know wtf im doing". But if you're looking for a few good realistic off road / SUV class vehicles. #1 Mammoth Patriot - Can be used in both off-road and SUV races. Has more ground clearance then the the Merryweather Mesa, but doesn't roll like a barrel. Has a good stable wide wheelbase, with climbing power of a mountain goat. A stock Patriot alone can out perform many other fully modded off-roaders due to its brute climbing and crawling abilities. #2 Karin BJXL - By far my 2nd favorite vehicle when going off-roading. Almost a complete clone of the Toyota FJ Cruiser. Has really solid up hill climbing power, but lacks a little climbing over certain rocks with its front bumper. #3 Merryweather Mesa - Dont really have to explain, its a lifted 4x4 Jeep. All around fun. But very unstable when taking turns. #4 Karin Rebel - Can be modified in many different ways making it entertaining with watching the wheels travel. #5 Rancher XL - Classic 1980's Chevy Suburban. only faults is that its a long wheel base in need of a lift. Currently waiting for Rockstar to release the GTA IV 2 door version. Because lets face it. If we could all go off-roading in a K5 Blazer, everyone would forget the sandking. Yes on the first two without a doubt. The BeeJay is a fantastic little thing, and the Patriot... well. Best SUV there is. Badass off-road. I don't own a Sandking because quite honestly it takes some of the fun of off-roading away; I prefer a bigger challenge than that monster allows.
