That's a missing texture, not sure which txd file is missing, probably one with studio or something in the name

The .txd file is called ci_studio5.txd and the .png in question is wheel_classic64.png

Thank you so much!! This png file in PS2/PS2 Feels it's a little bit different and is called ci_stuff5.png, that's why on PC it is recognized as missing texture.

I correctly cropped the PS2 texture and replaced it with the PC texture and it worked!!

Edit: This wheel on PC has a bug that the backside is not visible, even replacing the texture of the PS2 this bug is not fixed. Does anyone know how to fix? I don't understand much about this but I think this is a problem with the 3d model of the wheel that hasn't been properly finalized on the back but I may be talking nonsense

I believe it's a matter of backface culling being turned on/off.

Backface culling is so inconsistent in GTA VC. If you turn it on it fixes a lot of model problems in the game, but in the same time breaks a lot of models which work when it's off. I have no idea how they managed to do that.

I don't know if it has been brought up before, but can we have the option to be able to enter the other islands, since this pack fixes the bugs that allowed you to go there?

Crash on loading new game.

I downloaded Vice city leftovers, then vice city map fixes in the same folde (PS2 feels readme just said vice city fixes so I assume that they meant map fixes), and PS2 feels oncfe again in the same folder. I added the Vice mip maps mod, changed what I needed in the .ini to what the PS2 feels readme instructed, changed the backface occlusion on skyfgx. Can anyone help?

You need these VC Fixes, Vice City Map Fixes is a different mod and as far i understand it fixes vanilla pc map, so there are a lot of conflicts even if you install both mods via modloader, for me i couldnt even start new game with VCLF and map fixes. Maybe OP can correct me on this one.

Hey man i was wondering if you could help me, when i install VCLF + VC Fixes + PS2 Feels i get low res textures all over the map like these:

It is the same with PS2 Map by The Hero, so from my understanding its how original PS2 version looked.

So my question is how to get the best of both worlds in terms of what do i install to get it as close to PS2 as possible but keep high res textures from PC version? Should i only install CorepPack or do i get Improvements and VC Fixes aswell?

This is literally what PS2 feels does, it ports all of the PS2 textures to PC, including the ones lower in resolution. It's not really needed.

Any mods out there to fix the numerous roads missing rain reflections? This is an issue even on the PS2 version. Interesting to note on roads suffering from this bug that the reflections are still being drawn under the geometry as they should be, but something is stopping them from appearing on the road surface itself:

ended up looking into it myself and fixing it myself by editing all the .ides for areas with missing road refs, yep it's the IS_ROAD flag, also swapped every instance of 425, lamppost1 with 351, lamppost3 in littleha and both oceandn and oceandrv (along with 2 in haiti) due to that model having no rain refs
turns out lamppost1 just had the wet refs flag set to 0 instead of 1 in generic.ide (same bug in GTAIII along with lampost_coast), so I reverted all the lamppost3 changes

Does anyone know which file name for the missing ps2 ped is ? (Last time i check it was in the "PS2 feel pack" but i need it separately from the rest just like Hatain Air and Sport Jock)

When I use this mod the game crashes randomly and the unhandled exception sign pops up, I noticed that this happens to me when I go around Ocean Beach and I think especially near the Pay 'n' Spray.

Nice findings, I hope mod gets revived in the future so we can have more fixed stuff. Is there are combined version/mod of LF mod and VC Map fixes? I tried combining them but I get some map problems, probably because of file conflicts/overwriting. I think I should add file by file or something.

Yes, I'm doing file by file but it takes long. I'm thinking about combining first and then fixing the conflicts, but the problem is some fixes are better in LF and some fixes are better in VC Map fixes, and also it will be less accurate.

Yeah, I wanted to do the same. I got an idea to take Vice City map editor (too se names of buildings etc.) and combine stuff that Map Fixes has fixed and include in LF, while stuff that causes conflicts will be left out and fixed sepperately.

Yeah, I wanted to do the same. I got an idea to take Vice City map editor (too se names of buildings etc.) and combine stuff that Map Fixes has fixed and include in LF, while stuff that causes conflicts will be left out and fixed sepperately.

many of bugs can't be seen in map editor. for example tesad06, tesad06sas and tesad06ss have no problem in map editor, but they have problem in game. there are so many of them that using map editor (as a tool to check files) is waste of time. I use map editor to just check the names, and check the models in game. if there was a mod to show model name in game near of every object that was useful.

Exactly. I use it for that only, to check names of the buildings so I can combine both mods without issues.

 

Those bugs annoy me the most, I haven't found the fixes for them (yet):

Of bugs? The problem with Mall bug is that it's present if backface culling is set to 1 and if it's set to 0 it's gone. However setting it to 0 breaks a lot of other models. As for the other two, I have no idea what's up with pizza place and Mercedes house is missing red lights/corona effect on lamps and right one is missing red light on the ground too.

there are some big bushes and stuff that map editor don't show the, do you know how i can find them?
