Does a downgrader software exist as there is available for San Andreas?

Hi everyone.
I am using the xbox map and cars for VC along with silent patch, widescreen fix, particleex, skygfx, xbox peds(charactes with fingers) and i want some fixes from "the leftovers fix", not all the fixes because some are downgrade (like ocean view hotel sign is lower resolution than xbox map) and some just change the assets to ps2(like the news papers to the roads). 


I like fixes to graphics and missing assets and textures from the xbox map like golf flags and golf ball statue, butcher poster and things like that.

 

So far I have distinguished these files
od_chariot.txd to fix the broken texture of chariot hotel
gf_flagstees.dff files for the golf flags
and gf_hedge1.txd for the golf ball statue

 

Could you please tell me which files from models folder to use for vegetation pre-light fix?

 

And if you want you could recommend me other files also to put assets or textures that are missing completely from pc-xbox version or to fix other pre-light issues.

  • green store block (od_bigshops2.txd, also lower-res)
  • "uncensored" laundromat phone number (litthabg1.txd, also lower-res)
  • different girly mags/posters used in some interior in Little Haiti (LH_PWInterior.txd, also lower-res)

all of the txds are in straight 32-bit format so if you wanted to use them as a mod you'd have to make them compatible (through compression, 8pp, etc), or set up a new img using gta_vc.dat and add them to that, then delete the files in gta3.img. this is because for whatever reason, vice city doesn't like uncompressed textures in gta3.img and will refuse to make them appear in game. I wouldn't recommend it though as the game doesn't apply texture filtering under certain conditions for reasons I don't understand, so it looks wonky unless it's hud stuff.

 

I know the weapon models will work fine just inserted in-game, but I don't know about the others so use them at your own risk. I tried doing something like this before and I know for sure that the golf flags are riddled with flipped faces, so those are definitely going to need toying with in a modelling program. damn, now I want to try getting 3ds max on this dinky laptop. I think I may start polishing some of this stuff up, god help me :p

Post for people, that don't have limit adjuster, or this program dont work for them.

Hm... My computer can't load shell32.dll so Limit Adjuster don't work for me. BUT! I have an idea, that works: just add all files into gta3.img. And all that stuff. But don't try to replace data files. Install all files, but not data folder. Then, open vclf.ipl and later vclf.dat. There's something like #nbeachw and other # # # with names from data/maps. Yes, in maps folder I saw nbeachw folder and others. So, if you opened vclf.ipl then open nbeachw.ipl and replace lines under #nbeachw with original lines in nbeachw.ipl. Remember about vclf.dat. All lines under #nbeachw replace in nbeachw.dat with original lines from that file. And remember, that I'm writing about replacing lines in nbeachw.ipl and nbeachw.dat, don't change vclf files. And now, the Demolition Man building is repaired for me. Yeah, do this with other folders or lines...

I'm sorry if you don't understand something. If you want, I can write it better 🤣 (and show some lines, or how to replace them)

Edit 1: Before you ask, removing the  f e e l s  fixed the problem, so, indeed, it's the part that messes it all up, but I want the  f e e l s . . .

Edit 2: Setting a different priority in ModLoader INI doesn't help. Higher or lower, back side textures vanish.

 

Edit 3: AAaA, I just wanted to install everything I found in the OP and shove it all at once. I don't even think I care about "feels" any more.

@BorbingoBoyUse skygfx and set backface culling to 1 in the ini

 

or if that doesn't work set dual pass in the ini to either 1 or 0, I can't remember

 

Basically just use skygfx and f*ck around with those options until it works

Remove files from modloader (from gta3.img folder) that are replacing bushes from PS2 feels. 

 

EDIT: I think, that modloader is trying to load 2 (the same) files, with the same name but other dff and txd. I'm writing about txd and dff files of bushes, and other stuff. Because PS2 feels and Leftovers Fix are replacing the same things in original GTA3.img, game is replacing 1 file, by adding 2 the same files, and then bushes are mixed up or something. And they are buggy. It's just example, game is doing this (buggy replace) with all bushes and trees.

Why do people even want to install "PS2 Feels" but ignore skygfx that make much more "feels" and actually adds 95% of ps2 atmosphere to the game? Instead they want to mess around strange problems and find workarounds like not installing some models. It's weird.😕

I have my GTA VC with SkyGfx and SilentPatch and Ultimate asi loader and other things so GTA Vice City works fine, but the VCLF makes my game crash! when loading new game or loading save, the load screen stops at the middle... is there a solution for that? Edit: Fixed it...

Guys how do i delete the file of the HUD in VCLF? looks pixelated and without VCLF looks fine, what is the file so i don't have the VCLF hud? (I do not want to offend anyone)

I have a problem on Windows 10: when I go on a street in Ocean Beach (where there is an Ammunation), the game crash, and I see the message "Unhandled exception: c0000005 / At address: 7142e638".

Uhm, so yeah... Protip: don't do the latter. The game will crash while trying to load gta_vc.dat. Why?
