I just noticed that there's a ped.ifp file in the core pack, but I've already got the one from the download page called "Improved ped.ifp" Which one should I use? Are they different?

iirc the corepack contains only converted ps2 one. so would recommend the improved one for extra goodies

you need download ultimate asi loader and open limit adjuster (THE ONE FROM THIS TOPIC) other version will not work and crash the game...

I got this issue with various transparent objects in game like fences, doors etc
they are visible from one side and completely invisible from the other side.
Im using core pack, improvements and ps2 feels on top of that + recommended mods

what I did wrong?

Hi guys/gals, I'm new to Vice City modding, I just wanted to thank you guys for all this effort. I love Vice City (and all GTA games), and playing VC brings back good memories.

 

The graphic mods are great, but I always thought the radio streams in the PC version were very low audio quality, and looking at the stream sizes compared to the PS2 version, I can tell that my assumption was correct, as they are around half the data size.

 

My question is: Is there any mod to play the PS2 .vb radio streams on the PC version? Preferably without trans-coding them and losing quality?

Property icons that need to be bought were blue instead of red but I managed to fix that with Magic txd. I'm just wondering if i messed other things up. Another question would be what exactly do I do with ps2 feels? I have no idea where to install it I'm not really understanding the readme very well.

Yes, on PS2 pickups of property that you cannot buy are red, on PC they are blue.

Funny but I came to this topic today exactly to find what I miss to make them PS2-like. Looks like they aren't done yet.

No, it's an error from this update, the icons4.txd from this update has two blugrad32 textures, when there should be one.

 

Ouroboros, you're using Mod Loader?

In the modloader folder, you create a folder that you call for example PS2 Feels.

From what you downloaded, there are two folders inside, modloader and optional.

You take the content of the modloader folder and you drag and drop it in the PS2 Feels folder you created.

After, you open the modloader.ini, you find the line:

;MyMod=50

Replace it by:

PS2 Feels=100

To give it the highest priority.

Hope it's clear.

Finally figuring out how to use CLEO and modloader.

 

I've ran into a small problem:

 

The headlights in the game now have a clear block in front of them, is there a fix for this?

 

Also, should I use the Silent Patch with the Leftovers fix? And if so, should it be placed before or after?

Can anyone help me figure out what I'm supposed to do with the "Texture Source" files? Is this something I'm supposed to place, or is it just unpacked files for reference/advanced usage?

Is there any way to disable the black outline (stroke) on the fonts?

 

-Side note: I want to start a beta test group for fonts I'm creating, would that be allowed on the forum, and which section would be the best place to start a post about it?

Open gtavc.widescreenfix.ini and see outline option there - set it to 0

for "beta" testing, if you have already something done, you can post that in mod showroom in textures or others section
