Positive stocks not paying out?

I have read reports that since the money glitch others are losing money on stocks that should pay out.. Meaning stocks that go up in the green are taking money and the stocks that are in the read (such as the glitch) are making money.. Is the case for everyone?

Certain stocks work like you would expect still and others do not, the two I can remember at the moment that you lose money from trying to glitch, are CLK and ECL which at the moment are sitting at over -85% so seeing as I have more money than I'll ever use I may just invest heavily in these two right now and let you know what I find here.

 

But this is very simple to test on your own, buy one stock when a stock is in the red, use the glitch method.

(which I have found to work from the "My Portfolio" tab, it was previously stated it wouldn't work)

 

So no more scrolling through the stocks, now sell your stock and it will either return more or less and that's how you should be able to tell if it's a bugged stock.

 

I may be wrong as I haven't actually bought low and sold high, it's just a reasonable assumption..

I've noticed this. One the My Portfolio screen, if you click on the stock then sell. you'll experience this issue where you make a loss even though it showed a profit. What you have to do to avoid it is click sell on on the My Portfolio screen. This way it gives you the profit shown.

As long you click sell all on the My Portfolio page then it works fine. It's only when you click on the stock then click sell on that page that the issue occurs. The only problem with this solution is if you have shares in multiple companies and don't want to sell all of them at the same time. So until Rockstar fix it I'd suggest only having shares in one company at a time.
