This new passive mode is HORRIBLE. Just played for about 1 hour. Allmost EVERYONE is abusing this horrible, game-ruining, new passive mode.

 

Examples:
- So I send some merryweather mercs after a guy. What does he do? Go onto passive mode. What happens? Boom, instant ''escaped mercanacries''.
- This guy runs up to me, kills me for no reason out of no where, I respawn and approach him for revenge. He goes passive mode. I drive off, he keeps following me in passive. Just when I was buying some clothes, he goes out of passive and shoot me again.

- Jet griefers now use passive to go to the military base and grab a jet. You can't stop them in any way from getting a jet. So when I got f*cked by a jet griefer. I grabbed a jet myself, tried to take him out in a dog fight. What does he do? He goes on passive mode. Then he goes off the radar, stalks me (flew above me apparently), goes out of passive mode and kills my jet.
- Got in a car chase with this guy that just killed me. Instead of a nice car chase (hopefully ending in a kill), he goes onto passive mode. Nice...

Also, sometimes it's glitched as f*ck, ending up in the passive guy being able to ram you/run you over. And you not being able too shoot em/blow em up....

These examples are DIFFREND persons. Not just 1 troll/abuser. This system sucks alot of dick.

Basicly, this game is f*cked with this new passive mode ;) Rockstar is f*cking stupid.

I hate passive mode in vehicles. The dots look exactly like regular white dots and I can't tell the difference.

Yes it was to a point, Now it is a seamless passive mode that renders the user, well basically a god moder.

not really, because you couldnt be passive in jets, cars etc. You couldnt follow someone etc etc etc.

Had a couple griefers on me. I went passive. One of them had a knee jerk reaction and tried to aim and shoot at me, accidentally locked onto his friend and wasted him.

 

I love it.

Lol, no its not possible on ps3/Xbox360 cuz they don't have that garbage new passive mode which pretty much turns you into a ghost. At least with ps3/Xbox360 you can stop people from getting jets by killing them, you can kill trolls that are in passive mode...this new passive mode sounds worse then dealing with a modder because EVERYONE can go into passive mode....

The old passive mode was like a ''pause screen'' for people that went AFK or are sick of a fight, thats fair enough. This one just makes you full god mode and makes it possible to exploit/abuse/grief in SO many ways. I can now go around, kill random people, then drive off in passive mode and they cant do sh*t....

Furry_monkey are you dumb? Have you even played? They stalk you in passive mode, and as soon as they see a chance (like, you buying clothes or ammo). They go off passive, shoot you. Drive off for 60 secs and come back in passive mode to do the same thing.

That sounds god awful. I'm not a fan of the transparent effect either, like it's a literal ghost town.

 

The only thing wrong with passive mode on PS3 was the way it turned itself off for a variety of stupid reasons like getting out of a car (why?). No need for invincible ghosts floating about.

This isn't exactly that new, people have always done this on foot in the old gen, it's just they do it in vehicles now. Still, the way to resolve it is easy. Use passive mode. Fight fire with fire. They'll back off after a few seconds or minutes once they realise. Really not that hard to do.

On foot theres no way to do the things they do now. If they were on foot in the old passive, you could just drove off. Simple. But now they can follow you. Or worse, get a jet without someone stopping them.
So you're saying because everybody abuses this gay ass pussy system I should abuse it to?

Not trying to be a dick but you could have avoided those situations by going into passive yourself at the right time.

 

The only one that would bug me is the chase that ends with him going passive but that's just the way it goes sometimes. I wouldn't let it get to me too bad.

You don't have to abuse it. If someone can't kill you they get bored and move on. If your dog fighting in jets and your opponent goes into passive and you don't, your kind of asking to be sucker punched.

If you switched to passive, he'd fly off looking for other prey and you could do the same.

 

If you don't want to be interrupted start a vehicle deathmatch or regular deathmatch.

Who are you to call me dumb, when something as simple as passive mode is able to spoil your game? You must be *very* bad at this game.

 

None of this has happened to me, and I suspect most of it hasn't happened to you. You're just playing victim as it gives you something to cry about in order to get attention.

 

Adapt or go play Hello Kitty.
