GTA: Online, Am I Missing Something? No Trucks!

I've spent the past couple of hours driving around the map Online, at the log camp, docks, truck stops, industrial factories etc. looking for a truck, namely a Jobuilt Phantom, but there appears to be no signs of life! Were they taken away, or am I having bad luck?

 

This issue is prevalent on the PS4 version of Grand Theft Auto: Online.

I seen quite of few of them yesterday while in freeroam, but I haven't seen any Armored trucks at all for a couple of weeks now.

The 18 wheelers have always been really rare with spawning. It sucks.

These are all I'm seeing. I've tried swapping characters and everything, absolutely no luck whatsoever! I wouldn't really complain, it isn't for roleplaying but for a snapmatic photo I'm wanting to take with my car, where I need my car to remain in it's place while I go off finding a truck... but no luck. This is on the PS4 too, so this really sucks!

Where did you see the trucks at Roadkill? I'm really desperate for one now.

I've hit a couple Armored trucks. Pretty sure I've see big rigs, but playing a lot of SP I'm not 100% positive.

 

I haven't been able to find Gang cars, whereas I could regularly last gen, driving a Tornado or Peyote to the right locations, etc. Doesn't seem to work now.

as usual, R* dropped the ball when it comes to spawning cars in certain areas in which they'd be most appropriate:

 

for instance, it should be:

18 wheelers/Box trucks/Step Vans/Pickups/Utillity vehicles prominently spawning in docks/industrial/warehouse district/port areas

older vehicles/buckets/hoopties/flashy cars prominently spawning in ghettos and poor neighborhoods

classic cars/modern expensive cars/sports cars prominently spawning in suburban/rich neighborhoods

pickups, SUV's, 4x4s prominently spawning in the county

 

 

i will say that the country seems to be a bit more accurate, with junkers spawning in sandy shores and 4x4s in the hills, but everywhere else is pretty much completely random and a cluster. Of course there's always a mix IRL but in certain areas you see more or less diversity.

I am literally seeing box trucks spawning ever two seconds as we speak. Like it's a box truck, one car, box truck, three cars, box truck, two cars, box truck. This is on the freeway by the Mount Chiliad tunnel on the eastern part of the island. I think it must be a glitch, it has to be. There shouldn't be this many box trucks spawning. It's as if some of them should be 18-wheelers but they are being replaced on the server by these box trucks! If someone is going Online later on the PS4, please report here if you see some. I am in the UK.

The trick is to not actually be looking for a specific vehicle In gta online for it to spawn. >_<

Ive seen the semis hauling Ron gas around on the freeway in LS

Freeway, by the docks, and the cluckin bell factory constantly spawns them.

 

If you're having issues in one area looking for a spawn, make sure you're set to last location, and select Find New Session. It'll reroll your spawns.

Tried literally everywhere, I know one always pulled out of the Cluckin' Bell factory as you drove towards it, but no luck. Even the logging camp had one parked up once over. Another thing, I need to do this in a private session, without some little sh*t wrecking my Snapmatic Might have to try doing it in story mode and superimpose my car into the shot with the truck using Photoshop. Oh Rocktstar, you really need to get your sh*t together dudes! Story mode is a dream for different spawns, but Online needs fixing!

 

Anyway, I'm off to watch Trailer Park Boys! I'll try again tomorrow. Thanks for the helpful replies guys, please let me know if you manage to find one yourselves, like I said, Online spawning needs fixed, especially on Next Gen! Hope your listening Rockstar!

Nah on the freeway on ps3 up near paleto bay there are MILLIONS of trucks all day everyday.

Have yet to see one without a trailer.. Driving down the highway I see them like, every other 5 vehicles or so. They're just everywhere for me. Strange.

Still no luck. I've tried changing sessions from Private to Solo, changing the PS4's DNS addresses but still nothing. yesterday there was Box Trucks, none at all today. Just all the same type of cars and pickups. I've been all around the map but still nothing. Let's face it, Online is broken! Anyone else had any luck yet?

I really can't understand how the PS4 portion can be broken, Rockstar has released 3 or 4 patches, as it is now on 1.03/1.04 (depending on where you are, I'm still on 1.03). Any luck for anyone who has installed 1.04?

I never complain when Gallivanter Ballers spawn like a school of fish passing by my apartment. It's all I can do to stock my garage with them before they thin out and vanish...when they show up, I keep hearing the sound of cash registers in my head.
