Model Memory Glitch (Issue) Worth Reading

GLITCH DESCRIPTION

Note: This happened on PS4. I was in the Capture Creator the other day and I had the following:

Model Memory 100% (Couldn't place anything anymore)

Props: 120/120

Vehicles: 13/30

Weapons: 0/40

Actors: 5/20

I noticed that my Model Memory reached it's limit. It became full, therefor I could not place anything. I then used the Delete Option to see what took up most memory. I deleted ALL props. Model Memory was at 85%. I then deleted ALL vehicles. 50%. I then deleted ALL actors. 50%. I then deleted EVERYTHING. The Model Memory was still at 50%. I asked myself, how can that be. There was NOTHING spawned. I then did a Test, immediately backed out of it and the Model Memory was at 0%.

I then reloaded the map. Did some experimenting. I removed the 5 Actors. The Model Memory was showing 100%. I then went into the Test, exited out of it and the Model Memory was at 50%. I then placed ALL 20 Actors and the Model Memory was still at 50%. Even after the Test. Summary:

Model Memory: 50%

Props: 120/120

Vehicles: 13/30

Weapons: 0/40

Actors: 20/20

I had more than I had before and the Model Memory was at 50% instead of 100%.

WHAT CAUSES IT & HOW TO AVOID IT

Placing Actors seems to randomly fill your Model Memory by 50%. If you delete the Actors and re-place them, the additional 50% Model Memory will disappear. You can place as many Actors as you want to, they don't really require that much memory, the game simply thinks they do. It also doesn't show the appropriate Model Memory unless you do a Test. My advice is that when you're creating a Capture, place the Actors last as it will glitch the Model Memory and fill it up by a gruesome 50%. If it does, simply delete all Actors, go into Test. Then re-place them and it should be fine.

_________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

TL:DR - If your Model Memory fills up, Delete All Actors, go to Test, exit Test and the Model Memory will drop by 50%. Add the Actors once you're done with Props / Vehicles.

I wanted to share this as it's a very puzzling issue. Took me a while to find out what caused it.

Thanks, Zorvaine. This bug had me extremely confused.

Me too. Glad we have a fix for it.

Not a problem.

Today I went to update a Capture I transferred from PS3 and the Model Memory was at 90%. Deleted All Actors, entered/exited Test, backed out, it was at 40%.

These are now filled with rubbish, i can see this only being a problem for those who used these for cover so im also sure a lot of captures will be affected also.

I wonder if Rockstar will ever fix this... Not many people care for the Creator unfortunately.
