Can confirm, SkyGfx does seem to restore the smoke.

A toggle would be nice. JizzySmoke=0.

Maybe, but either way that smoke fits the place perfectly, even if it really wasn't on PS2 (wich I'm 99% sure R* messed it up if that's the case).

 

Just to clarify I'm talking about the smoke effect The_Hero fixed, not the smoke machines.

Btw. this is how it would look like without the ipl (I mean the white [texturless] light [textureless cause i removed it because it's not necesserly as light is included in different dff like on PS2])

The Hero wants the perfectly PS2 atmosphere feeling, a toggle would be ok. If someone doesn't want the smoke then a 0 is ok, if not switch to 1, i don't know.

This and it's not the fog that was fixed, it's too dense. It looks like the smoke in the back of night clubs.

But it doesn't seem it's your ipl, I don't have it.

And thank you for restoring the fog, not only in the night clubs but also in Jizzy's club and at the entrance of the Four Dragons Casino the fog is restored. Really thank you ! :colgate::^:

What fog in Four Dragons? I don't see anything, lol.

does someone have this alpha bug with parachute using sagfx?

without skygfx it's ok

Use PS2 parachute.dff and you will be fine.

I know but porting PS2 bugs as well is pointless, the smoke is working fine now... if it was broken on PS2 then that's R*'s problem.

 

But I agree a toggle would be better than straight out removing it from Jizyy's club.

Remember the LS airport is different too in cutscenes by using EHI. :p

Hm...from the looks of it I will *not* be implementing a MatFX dual pass, because on the PS2 the MatFX doesn't seem to be used. Instead the best (most accurate) solution would be to properly implement the PS2 pipelines on PC and just use these.

Tomasak: I know what's the problem now: UV animation. You can't import dffs with UV animations in 3ds max (you have to remove the UV Anim dict with RWA first). But obviously with UV animations the model is rendered by the MatFX pipeline, which doesn't do a dual pass currently ;) So it looks like I have to implement that....

It's already on Todo list on main page ;)
